I gave £10 once to a homeless guy who was drinking kitchen cleaner, he died the same day. It proved to me that with some people money is not the answer.Stupidity:This is an overlooked issue. Some people are profoundly stupid while seeming able to regular people. I met one guy who had a bible with him at all times and couldn't read a single word, had no idea where he was, where he needed to go, literally knew nothing about anything, but seemed at first glance as normal as a homeless person can be.Psychological issues:When you meet a homeless person who believes they are on some holy crusade you will know. Some have had terrible upbringing with severed trauma's. It's strange how the brain finds dysfunctional ways to cope.Choice:Some people just prefer being homeless. I think some people end up homeless, build up a social circle (of both enablers and friendships) and like the routine. Or maybe they like being the capable one when surrounded by the other types, they become important in the group.

She does drugs, has said horrible things to my gf that traumatized her, fist fought my gf, tried to extort money out of me and stole my car. I really tried to help, we even thought about letting her live with us at first, but then she used my generosity to try and steal from us and treat us like shit.
