https://www.epa.gov/newsreleases/epa-releases-proposal-rescind-obama-era-endangerment-finding-regulations-paved-way
>The EPA has proposed rescinding the 2009 endangerment finding — the scientific/legal basis for regulating greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act. If finalized, this would undermine federal authority to limit vehicle, power plant, and industrial emissions

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/26/trump-epa-deadly-soot-pollution-rule
>Rules aimed at reducing fine particulate (soot) pollution — linked to thousands of premature deaths each year — are being rolled back or ignored

https://www.reuters.com/legal/litigation/us-environmental-enforcement-by-trumps-epa-drops-record-low-2026-02-05/
>A watchdog report shows that EPA’s legal enforcement actions against polluters dropped sharply compared to previous administrations — suggesting less regulatory pressure on companies to comply with clean air and water laws

https://www.ciel.org/news/trump-epa-petrochemical-rollbacks-2025/
>Exemptions from air pollution standards have been granted to some industrial facilities, reducing regulatory burdens on chemical and manufacturing plants

https://earthjustice.org/press/2025/trump-halts-clean-air-laws-for-most-of-the-country
>Clean air rules for certain regions or facilities have been stopped or postponed, which environmental advocates worry will lead to increased local pollution

Republicans are completely destroying this country for short term gain. I want to remind you it was Nixon, a republican, who passed the clean air act modern republicans are currently destroying. Pollution our air is just the tip of the iceberg. Trump is also allowing companies to pollute public waterways now. Everyone and their mother is distracted by all the other chaos happening right now to realize the trump admin is sending us back to the early 1900's regarding pollution standards.

>federal authority to limit vehicle, power plant, and industrial emissions
That's the deal, they want to regulate everything inside the EPA with zero input from Congress. We're not doing that any more.

Regulations can be passed by Congress. Why don't the Democrats try that for a change instead of simply filling up these institutions with Marxists and allowing them to enact anti-human and economically crippling policies?

Trump gutted these agencies for a reason - they were abusing their authority.
>>
>>527912497
I'm pretty sure it's already confirmed not hitting us

you can't sacrifice your whole country and industry on the world stage for environmentalism

You can do whatever you want. Automobiles suck ass, and if a bunch of retarded idealists think that they are destroying the planet, good.

12,000 women die every year in automobile related deaths.

UK and America both drink alcohol at similar rates, but UK has half the alcohol related deaths.

It’s the cars. They are loud, annoying, and frankly just a buffer between you and niggers/insane drug people. That’s all they are. Rolling nigger-proof carriages. Time to end the cope and fight for your civilization. Cars gotta go,
>>
>>527913024
Just get Congress to pass a bill defining the precise regulatory standards and penalties. People saw Obama jam all the agencies full of Marxists, who abused their nearly unlimited powers. Trump stopped this.

California had an EPA dude who denied a Tesla plant because... he literally didn't like Musk. That's why Musk moved to Texas. And the guy had the power to do this on a whim too.

You might not like Musk and you might think this is BASED but, look where you are now. You did this actually, you're responsible. You didn't want a debate, you thought you hit the end of history and all the institutions would remain the same or grow more powerful over time, the era of government was over. It's stakeholders and global governance right? WRONG lol.
>>
>>527913073
You are fucking brain dead. There is absolutely no evidence the clean air act or emissions regulations have significantly harmed our industrial ability. There is no proof banning dumping toxic waste and chemicals into our fucking water supply seriously harms industrial output. This isnt about being a le hippy whatever. I support nuclear energy. It's about letting corporations completely fuck your body up so they can make a dollar more per item made.
>>
>>527913404
You are a shill. Half the shit cited has absolutely nothing to do with what you just said like dumping toxic waste and chemicals into public waterways or ignoring the clean air act. You also know exactly why something like that will never be possible. The filibuster in the senate. It is amazing how categorically evil you kikes are.

Democrats wouldn't be able to advance a clean bill with universally-agreed standards, because they'd jam amnesty for all illegal aliens into it. Like they've tried to do with every major spending bill since Trump took office again.

The agencies are being stripped of their powers. It's too late to stop it. Obama shouldn't have come for everybody's light bulbs.

Thank fucking God, I’ve been thinking about how it’s absolutely bullshit that the CAA was weaponized against individual motor vehicles and the people who own them, rather than staying focused on stationary power plants, and what have you. Emissions monitoring and inspection at the individual driver level is ridiculous and outside of the scope of vehicle safety inspections to begin with.

if the plebeian masses have to suffer so the nobility can reach its true potential, then the masses should be made to suffer, so that we can all share in the glory brought to us by the great men of our society

It is sad.

There has been a massive drop in education standards for the republican party when you have people defending this shit that republicans 50 years ago didnt even like. /pol/'s refusal to embrace environmentalism is what ultimately caused me to form a rift with this board's ideology. it's proof that the right doesn't actually care about facts or reality, and is just a reactionary movement with no real principles beyond "beating" the other side. people are too fucking stubborn to acknowledge what's right in front of their faces, because to do so would be to acknowledge that the "other side" was right about something and that would hurt them more than it would to see their planet literally killed.

the irony is that climate change is only going to exacerbate all the other issues that /pol/ claims to care about. the mass migration of climate refugees is going to make current immigration look like a fucking joke. you think having a million indians in your country is bad, wait until all of india and africa are too hot to live in and the billions of people there have no choice but to move north and come knocking on your doors. and you helped pave the way for this by sticking your head in the sand to avoid admitting you were wrong.
>>
>>527921405
And your implication of it being because of pollution regulation is wrong. It's entirely because you can pay chang or sukdeep in a sweatshop 2 dollars an hour for a job americans would demand 20 an hour for.
>>
Reasonable people have no trust left for any of these corrupt bureaucracies. The rule of thumb is that they do the exact opposite to what they claim to do.
If a company is caught overly polluting then you can counter that specifically.
All these "movement" turn into purely destructive scams as soon as they're institutionalized.

The anti-whaling movement is another good example. Wanting these deranged anti-human and anti-environment freaks to fuck off doesn't mean we want to exterminate whales.
>>
>>527922057
How the fuck are you going to catch them overpolluting when oversight agencies have been told to not record their pollution you god damn retard? When cancer and various diseases start spiking decades later?
>>
>>527921963
You're just a brainwashed idiot, there's nothing more behind this post. Refusing to play pretend with your blatant scams doesn't mean I don't want to protect the environment. We could have literally greened the entire Sahara by now with the amount of resources spent on absolutely fucking nothing except making scammers wealthy.
>>
>>527922007
>It's entirely because you can pay chang or sukdeep in a sweatshop 2 dollars an hour for a job americans would demand 20 an hour for.
Chang and Sukdeep also don't give a fuck about the environment, at all. They can be paid 2 dollars an hour because they don't mind living in squalor and don't care if the rain makes the leaves fall off the trees.

>>527922452
Yes? Why the fuck do you want to become like them??? Holy shit
>>
>>527922216
Independent observers have been more effective in regulating pollution than the EPA or any of the scammers ruining the world in the name of saving it.
Even random kids with 20 subscriber youtube channels are more effective regulators than the scam industry you so desperately want to present as saviours of the world despite being purely destructive.
>>527922582

>>
>>527922582
>Why the fuck do you want to become like them???
I don't. I'm pointing out your claim we have deindustrialize is due solely to undercutting wages is nonsense. Regulatory compliance is an overhead cost companies considered when it came to offshoring and they all went to places where you don't even have to do the bare minimum. This is an objective fact.

The methodology for collecting data has been junk from the start because it's a scam to force society to buy new products from corporations the agenda pushers are in bed with. These efforts to get rid of gas stoves in the US and pushing electric vehicles that rely on strip mining for lithium in countries with no environmental regulations. On top of that lithium is far more toxic for the environment than coal/oil/uranium combined in some metrics. Mainly during industrial processes during power generation. Also due to lax storage laws, leaks from lithium batteries are far more toxic to the soil than having nuclesr power generators which have catchments processes that capture all nuclear waste and buries them in sterile nonradiactive casings under tons of concrete. Nuclear could work if dems didn't over regulate using the politicized EPA.
