I kinda feel like these plans for enslaving humanity were carefully considered by elites for centuries, BUT what they didn't account for was that technological advancements would eventually make human labor redundant.For example, back during the Roman empire, many slaves would work on farms, harvesting crops. But nowadays a farmer with a huge combine harvester can do the work of all those slaves by himself with much less effort. You get better results and it's even cheaper than indentured servitude.So I think the elites are also kinda confused as to what to do next.
