>>527979262There is no free health care in a government run plan except for the unemployed. Everyone else is paying something. If it's sliding scale system they may be paying less or more, but they're paying something. What people really are arguing about is the unemployed. But in America when they don't have coverage they eventually end up in the ER. That cost is then past on to everyone else by the raising of prices which get billed to your coverage. So we're essentially paying for them no matter what. The only way to not pay for them is to let them die which the large majority here do not want. What it comes down to and what we're arguing about is really just "How we pay for the healthcare for those with no coverage." Do we do it in the ER or do we just put them in the system and hope their doctor visits will be cheaper in the long run than frequent trips to the ER. Most experts agree that prevention saves money in the long run.
