When you're beautiful nothing matters. Friends and situations gravitate towards your magnificence. No one will ever really push you on your mental/emotional/spiritual weaknesses as they fear reprisal. You'll always be a trophy on their wall. When you're ugly however you learn to compensate, leaning into magnetic gaze, trickery, and psychopathy. It's the only way you can become valuable in a biological sense. You become bitter knowing that the people around you aren't actually interested in basking in your success along with you, you're merely tolerated for your unanticipated success. Must be tough.
