WTF happens here? The Adirondacks are especially not far from NYC, all told. And even Maine is not tooo far compared to most of rural America. Pretty much all of Maine true north of 95 seems like fair game. What's the deal? Northern rednecks? Quaint getaways? Just seems sus to me..
