Why do people want to go back to what the Internet was 20 years ago?
>>
>>528025669
Because the interjew was cool Back Then. I used to buy furniture and hookers off craiglist Back in the day.
>>
Pre-iPhone internet was measurably better across several metrics, primarily because it was right before the corporate influence infected the entire internet, just a quarter to a half. There was still a human element, it was gritty, not sterile. It was also before the enjeetification of the internet, so your odds of meeting a turd worlder were primarily European, which are better.

>why do people want things to be good and enjoyable again, instead of miserable and shit?
Gee OP, I dunno.
>>
The internet went from cozy, free and decentralized, to censored, centralized and filled with normies.

In the past you had communities based on interest. Now you have safe spaces based on interest.
>>
Craigslist got cucked when they removed personals. I used to fuck so many women from Craigslist. That shit was THE BEST. It’s still decent for other things. Modern internet is trash. I would take AOL 3.0 era internet over what we have now.
>>

Because it was both better and more functional?
Control withers things

less indians

Because everything is about manipulating you now
its either ads or demoralization or secret clubs or bots

you cant even be sure if anything you read is someones genuine opinion cause weve already been manipulated

I used to browse the internet because everyone felt real, saying what they cant or wont in real life, talking about things that were too niche for people to know about
now its as if everyone turned into a cheap tabloid,, just trying to get that reply either by rage baiting or being the first in the know

Craigslist is a great resource. I bought an almost new Macbook Air for $100. I thought it was a scam at first but the address he gave me to come look at it was in a wealthy neighborhood. Turns out it was a chink father punishing his daughter by selling off her stuff. He made the daughter hand me the Macbook. She was crying. As I was leaving, he just smiled at me and said something in Chinese to his daughter.

spam thread. using a website that still has utility is not "wanting to go back". plus OP cherrypicked a screenshot without any additional info supporting it

Nigga there are no more organic threads on this site any more, hasn't been for a decade. At least back then it was shill threads and not outright botting.

We dont need to have an argument about whether the board has merit. I'm pointing out that this is a lazy, rhetorical question spam thread. Which it is
