I keep thinking that this problem has always existed and it was always that bad. But I also keep feeling that things are harder today than they ever were before (born in 2002).
Same here, supermarket prices are insane, there has been a lot of inflation since 2019 and the "pandemic" and it's going to get even worse.

imagine accepting euro
I like to believe that the ancestors are looking at us,the mirage of plenty on a foundation of the sand of fiat central bank economics. the moral and soul decay and lack of agency that they could only imagine in a dystopia.they look at how this struggle is different but in a way worse than anything imaginable.they're cheering us on as we ride the tiger of modernity.
>>528027508To give an easy example 10 years ago a 2L bottle of Coca Cola was 2 BGN (~1 EUR) when not on sale it gradually climbed up to 4 BGN (~2 EUR).Coffee is almost 2x what it was, tobacco and cigarettes keep getting more and more expensive, I think they raised the prices at least 2 times in 2025.A local can of beer from a 24/7 store was 50 cents, it's now 80 in most places, a beer at a bar was 1.25 it's now 2.50 or more and so on. I switched jobs several time in that period, I'm working a good job and I'm making more than 3x what I used to, but when you factor in inflation it's 40-50% more despite all the experience and effort. You have to keep running just to stay in the same place, boomers could never understand.
I mostly eat yogurt, eggs, sardines, cauliflower and chicken. I never spend that much on groceries
>>528028244>sardinesAre sardines cheap? They're very expensive here
>>528028595Around 7 euros per kg
>>528029031More like 15€ here
