OP I work at a company everyone has heard of. Worked over 5 years. I recently got a 5% raise which is great, honestly. But no promotion.My manager then told me who got the promotion - a guy who has worked there for two years. I decided to get closer to him - and he confessed and I'm not joking that he uses AI for every piece of code he's ever wrote. He doesn't know how to do it so he 'learns on the go' (lie he doesnt learn from ai agents writing his slop that WILL be the downfall of our company)Yeah so I did get a 5% raise with no 'expected obligations' (another lie, im always expected to do way more than my role.)But this fucking faggot got a promotion. He doesn't know how to even write code. It really made me sick to my stomach but I keep my head down and I'm quiet so I guess that's that. By the way I'm in my mid 30s and started learning VB when I was 9 years old.They're going to regret their decisions pushing this ai bullshit within the next 2 or 3 years max. Mark my words.
