It is normal for anyone to be able to take the kids out of school at the end of the day, including a 6 year old picking up his 3 year old neighbor. It is so hefker, it is ridiculous. There is also the fact that we are American and already have a disadvantage to understanding what is REALLY going on in the school. The mentality in Israeli school is "trust us, we have been doing this for x amount of years, we know what we are doing." There is little parental involvement. There is a new school that started in RE that is supposedly going to be safe. I sure hope so. Anyone else, especially principals that claim this thing isn't real, are offering zero protection. A few extra cameras are NOT doing the trick, proof is last year after many schools tried this and did not see improvement in the numbers of kids "coming out." This is international organized crime.
