I'm not asking for much
>a house or apartment that is affordable to rent or pay a loan for
>a car that works
>not worrying to only buy the cheapest food and clothing brands
>going out for a coffee or a drink once on the weekends
>2 weeks of holidays per year
>supporting two children
>a bit of money left over to save for emergencies
>all with 40 honest hours a week, without extras or overtime or "hustling"
This was supposed to be normal. If you studied and worked hard this was supposed to be the "default" and you could strive to reach above it. Now all these goals look like some fantastical dream for your 30s if you slave for a decade.

Listen up, kids. I’m so tired of hearing how “the economy is broken” and “nobody can afford a house.” You know what I couldn’t afford? Anything. Because I was 22 years old and working 60 hours a week instead of live-streaming my feelings and photographing my brunch.

You aren’t poor because the system failed you. You’re poor because you think “side hustle” means monetizing your hobby instead of getting a second real job. You think budgeting is an app. You think hardship is when the Wi-Fi drops during your video game tournament.

When I was your age I didn’t have food delivery, ride shares, three streaming subscriptions, a $1,200 phone, and a $7 latte every morning. I had a thermos and discipline. I didn’t “need experiences.” I needed overtime. I didn’t “burn out.” I got up and went to work.

You complain about rent while ordering takeout five nights a week. You whine about student loans for degrees you picked because they were “interesting.” News flash: interesting doesn’t pay the mortgage. Plumbing does. Welding does. Accounting does. But no, you’d rather curate an aesthetic and blame “late stage capitalism” from your ergonomic gaming chair.

You say houses are impossible to buy. I bought mine by not spending money on nonsense. No vacations, no festivals, no artisanal anything. I drove the same car for 15 years. I packed my lunch. I fixed things instead of replacing them. It’s not oppression. It’s priorities.

But sure, tell me again how you’re victims because you can’t afford granite countertops in your first condo. Maybe try less avocado toast and more accountability. Wealth isn’t a vibe. It’s sacrifice. And until you’re willing to give up convenience, comfort, and constant entertainment, you’ll keep being “mysteriously” broke.

>This was supposed to be normal.
It is normal. Literally all of your peers who aren't complete fuckups and failures at life like you easily have all of that and much more for a minimal amount of effort.
>If you studied and worked hard this was supposed to be the "default"
It still is. The reason you don't have it is because you never actually worked for it. You just passively coasted through life doing the absolute bare minimum and then just assumed you would have a nice comfy life handed to you on a silver platter just for existing, even though you never actually did anything to earn it.
>Now all these goals look like some fantastical dream for your 30s if you slave for a decade
No, they look like fantastical dreams for a lazy, worthless NEET incel who hasn't slaved at anything except being terminally online and wallowing in self pity.
>>

>Now all these goals look like some fantastical dream for your 30s if you slave for a decade.
I now have enough money to do the things I wanted to do 10 years ago. Thing is their price went up so I probably need 10 more years to realize again I'm getting outpriced

Oh, and since you all love inventorying what I “have,” let me save you the trouble.

Yes, I have a house. Paid off. Not a “starter home” — a real one. Brick. Yard. Garage. The kind you say is “unattainable.” I have a truck that runs because I maintain it. I have a retirement account because I funded it before funding fun. I have a pension because I stayed at a job longer than a software update cycle.

And yes, I have a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Know how? I didn’t buy it at 24 to “find myself.” I bought it at 52, in cash, after the mortgage was nearly gone and the kids were through school. It’s called sequence. You earn toys after you build the foundation.

Same with the boat. It’s not a lifestyle brand. It’s a 20-year reward for not lighting my paycheck on fire every weekend. I didn’t finance it at 8% because I “deserved joy.” I deserved stability first. Joy came later.

I have tools in my garage that are older than you. I have savings that don’t panic when the market dips. I have insurance policies you’ve never read and an emergency fund that doesn’t rely on a crowdfunding campaign. I have a credit score that exists because I paid my bills, not because an app gamified it.

You look at the end result and call it “privilege.” I call it compounding. Decades of boring, repetitive responsibility. Brown bag lunches. Skipped upgrades. Saying no when it wasn’t fun.

You want the Harley, the boat, the house, the retirement — but you want them in the tutorial level. That’s not how it works. You don’t spawn with loot. You grind. Quietly. For years.

But sure, keep tweeting about structural barriers from a device that costs more than my first car. I’ll be out on the lake this weekend. Paid for.
>>
And here’s the part you REALLY don’t like.

You think I “got lucky.” No. I got up EARLY. I stayed LATE. I didn’t need a “mental health day” because the VIBES were off. I had a boss, not a “community.” I had PERFORMANCE REVIEWS, not affirmations.

You all keep waiting for a SYSTEM to save you. News flash: the SYSTEM doesn’t owe you a CRAFT BEER and a REMOTE JOB with unlimited PTO. The system rewards DISCIPLINE. It rewards SHOWING UP. It rewards doing BORING THINGS for a LONG TIME.

You mock “bootstraps” while wearing $300 SNEAKERS you stood in line for. You talk about “late stage capitalism” from a $1,400 PHONE you replace every two years because the CAMERA improved. And somehow I’m the out-of-touch one.

You want COMFORT before COMPETENCE. You want RECOGNITION before RESULTS. You want BALANCE before you’ve built anything worth balancing.

I didn’t have a “personal brand.” I had a REPUTATION. I didn’t need a SAFE SPACE. I needed a PAYCHECK. I didn’t demand FLEXIBILITY. I demanded more HOURS.

And spare me the speech about how “things were different.” Interest rates were 15%. Layoffs happened. Recessions happened. We didn’t write think pieces about it — we adjusted. We cut spending. We worked MORE. Radical concept, I know.

You think the Harley and the boat are symbols of oppression. They’re symbols of DELAYED GRATIFICATION. Of saying NO a thousand times so you can say YES later.

But keep telling yourself it’s all rigged. That way you never have to confront the terrifying possibility that maybe — just maybe — scrolling isn’t a career path and complaining isn’t a retirement plan.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a LAWN to mow, a TRUCK to maintain, and a BOAT to winterize. Things that require EFFORT. You should try it sometime.

This reads like a shitty LARP.
This bullshit reply has nothing about how the purchasing value of the dollar has plummeted and real estate values have skyrocketed.
This argument may have worked in the 90's but this shit doesnt work anymore.

>>529149364
>This was supposed to be normal. If you studied and worked hard this was supposed to be the "default"

No, you didn't have to study or work hard. All throughout the 90's if you didn't want to live with your parents, you didn't have to. It was actually possible to live by yourself while working a low skilled job. What's more is that low skilled job would automatically evolve after a time to a medium skilled job and so on and so forth.

The warning I always got in school was that I was never going to afford 5 kids and a two car garage. At the same time we were bombarded by messaging, by entertainment and public schools respectively, that money doesn't matter and we should follow our dreams.

This is how the boomers prepared us for the current world that they created for us.
>>
>>529151156
Oh good, we’ve reached the “it’s all macroeconomics” phase.

You’re right about one thing: purchasing power has declined over time. Inflation exists. The dollar buys less than it did in 1995. Gold star.

Now here’s the part you’re skipping.

Interest rates in the late 70s and early 80s were double digits. Mortgage rates hit 18% in 1981. Unemployment was over 10%. Inflation peaked above 13%. The idea that every boomer bought a house with pocket change and a firm handshake is fantasy.

Real estate didn’t “skyrocket” in a straight line either. The late 80s had regional crashes. The early 90s were stagnant. 2008 obliterated trillions in home equity. Plenty of people bought at the wrong time and paid for it.

Wage growth hasn’t kept pace with housing in certain cities that’s true. But housing is also larger, more regulated, and more feature-heavy than in the 70s. The median new home in 1975 was 1,600 sq ft. Today it’s over 2,300 sq ft. Expectations changed along with prices.
And here’s the uncomfortable reality: outcomes still vary massively by behavior. Two people earning the same income today can end up in wildly different financial positions based on debt load, consumption, geographic flexibility, and savings rate. That was true in 1990. It’s true now.
If your entire counterargument is “asset prices went up,” congratulations, you’ve discovered supply constraints and monetary policy. That explains pressure. It doesn’t eliminate agency.
So yes, the landscape shifted. No, it’s not 1993 anymore. But pretending math stopped working because things are harder in certain markets is just as unserious as pretending nothing changed.
If you want a serious conversation about zoning, credit expansion, student loan structure, and monetary policy, we can have it.
If you just want to yell “LARP” and call it analysis, that’s fine too.

>when
when the lemurian race let the spacejews crash on gaia (black rock which fell like a shining star) because they believed them when they said they were seeking asylum/shelter, which was a big lie by them.
they(lemurians) and we couldnt know, because gaian natives got their heart chakra activated aka they/we have empathy and sympathy for living beings, animals, plants and other humans. (aka on a higher evolutional step than so called jews, if you will)
remember how Christ says their hearts are made out of stone? yup, their heart(chakra) is inactivated, even if they had the facilities to be heartfelt, they arent.
so about 80000 years ago, to be precise.

and going from this info now, what about chinese/indian so called people? i wonder if they are native, regarding that they do not care (have empathy) for neither their fellow homuncoli, nor their biotope...grossly violating the laws of the cosmos

The world as your parents knew it is over. There are two options if you want to survive:
1. Become a hypergamous looksmaxxed sociopath and just impregnate everything that you can, pick up the kids year later if you feel like having a direct heir
2. Move to a shithole in the middle of nowhere and integrate into a forgotten traditional society
The European world is over. We are men amongst the ruins. You will never have the family your parents had. You will never have a virgin wife in the West. To try to follow that path is to become a cuck to millions of boomers niggers and mohammedans festering on the corpse of Europe
Carve out your own path white man
Like your ancestors did
If you are not white go fuck yourself, I don't give a fuck

>30s
This is me, with a Harvard PhD and 8 YOE. It's ok. But there are very few people who can compete on my level in my field and the ceiling is quite low for living in California. I'm considering taking a 40% salary cut to live in the Midwest. Interest on a $1M condo is $1M - so buying a house outright for $250K is automatically a $1.75M net gain, despite any pay cut.

Since the property market was propped up by world governments in 2008 instead of being allowed to collapse and take the rotten financial sector down with it like it should have done. Which was done by politicians to serve their property invested corporate donors and home owning boomer voters. The cost of living going mental in western countries since then is all a result of that decision.
