I'm crazy and about to be homeless. Completely sober, and a hard worker, it's just too much to fight my brain. I can earn enough to feed and clothe myself, but it's too much of a struggle to make rent.

They cannot hold a job, hence why they are homeless. And they know the only way to be able to hold a job is to get sober, which they hate the thought of.Used to work with a guy who had overcome being homeless after getting sober. Eventually started drinking again - wouldn't show up because he was blackout drunk somewhere, would find him blacked out in the locker room in the morning shift, destroyed probably £10000 worth of product one time driving a forklift plastered, and fought with a security guard and hospitilised him. Another crazy time was when I was opening the shift with him, and he forgot or lost the keys somehow - he then, without second thought, proceeded to kick the glass door down and climbed through the glass door to get the spare keys in the office.
