China and Russia have carved their own "American free" sovereign areas, and in some cases even satelite states or regions of influence that deny American influence. One could argue that India and Iran and perhaps even Viet fucking Nam could or will do the same. The world doesn't have to "rise up" and challenge the US, it simply has to create areas where the US power is not supreme.
