As of 2026, Ryan Gosling's net worth is estimated to be around $70 million, primarily from his successful acting career, endorsements, and real estate investments. He earns significant paychecks from his film roles, with recent earnings including $12 million for "Barbie" and $20 million for "The Gray Man."

also comparing fast food prices is disingenuous because these places always have promotions. just because they sell something at x price doesn't mean that it's viable for them to do so. the $5 footlong is often used as an example, but that was notoriously unprofitable to the point where many franchisees refused to honor it.

state minimum != actual pay. most min-wage jobs in my state pay $2-$3 more than the state minimum. it's same in texas...
https://www.bls.gov/regions/southwest/news-release/minimumwageworkers_texas.htm
>From 2016 to 2017, the portion of hourly paid workers in Texas who earned at or below the federal minimum wage declined from 3.9 to 3.1 percent.
a quick search on reddit shows that most places in texas are paying $12-$13. i bet you it's like that in the rest of the $7.25/hr states.

I quit going to Taco Bell years ago. They get rid of everything I like on the menu, and now they want way too much for everything that's left. They also have way too many "Hidden Menu Items" that they only put on the app that you don't know exist just looking at the menu at the restaurant. I don't like getting confused when I try to order in the drive-thru or in-line. I'll save my money and eat at home, you shitty ass company! Bring back to Volcano Sauce!
>>
>>529459821
Minimum wage in my state is only $11. The price at fast food places and especially sit-down restaurants has gone up way more than what wages have. I make about 6x minimum wage and still feel ripped off going to most fast food restaurants.
>>
>>529460658
$ was originally Ps, abbreviation for pesos. Writing two letters was annoying so they dropped the P eventually. All symbols get pillars inside so they don't get confused with the normal letters S, C, etc.
>>
>>529460658
The dollar came before the cent, and was based on Pesos (Ps). They would overlap the P and S. Eventually just dropped the loop on the P and kept the S and line.

long winded way of saying "i mispoke and im wrong".
Minimum means minimum, you didnt mean minimum wage then did you? Why is it so difficult for people to just be wrong sometimes. Its fine, really. I can even understand why you would think (pic attached) because of your location and your personal job experience. But what you said is fundamentally not true and I'm not going to sit here and pretend with you that i just "didn't get it".

I live and work in a state that has the 7.25 minimum wage and you do see jobs as long as minimum wage. They exist, but most on average are around 10$ unless your doing tipped work which can go as low as 2 something a hour.

you just misspoke when you said minimum wages were probably around 16-20$ and we all make mistakes from inside our little bubbles.

I'm literally telling you as a person who lives in one of the 7.25 minimum wage states, there are jobs paying 7.25

doesn't matter if i misspoke, the majority of entry-level jobs in states with a $7.25/hr minimum wage are paying more than $7.25/hr. tipped and agricultural workers make less, but it's like that in every state.
>>
>>529461952
I've done all that shit just to realize I've could've ordered taco bell instead. And unless you're paying inside with cash they're still getting that data.
>>
>>529462338
ok, what your doing here is confusing minimum required with average or median, these are all different.

Your original post, its factually inaccurate, incorrect, wrong, or a lie.

I think lying about the minimum wage being higher than it is, is wrong.

That pic is insanely disingenuous, the top and white circle prices are meal prices not the individual sandwiches. Half of the individual prices are missing.

I don't give a fuck what you say minimum wage was in any particular year. Restaurant prices are a fucking rip-off now and everyone but you can tell on an instinctual level.

You go to the hospital, they test you for every disease known to man so they can juice the bill. They also run pregnancy tests for all women post puberty just in case. And if you're on Medicare/Medicaid, they bill you for services you don't even consent to. Not illegals though. They don't pay.
>>
>>529465165
>>529465264
now you're talking about inflation-adjusted median wages lol. just take the l my guy,
>>
>>529465201
The cost probably went down, considering improvements in meat processing and automation. Also they literally got rid of cashiers at McDonald's so the actual cost of ordering and making the meal is down.
>>
>>529465361
so that we can keep the data easier to understand than jumping from "entry level wages" which is news speak and not a thing, vs median, vs average, vs federal, vs state minimum.

What your ultimately arguing is that food costs didnt inflate the way people are saying they did.
But they did.
Wages stagnated
costs inflated.
I used a simple easy to understand example to try to help you.>>529465165

This is literally just trying to simplify this all for you, but I'm starting to think your disingenuous and don't care and just want the narrative that prices didnt go up to be true.

additives and cheaper fillers have kept costs lateral, prices for production have increased but at a much smaller rate than MSRP.

Production costs are basically null compared to 25 years ago, about the same beyond some niche areas or things that couldnt be made more "effecient" with fillers, or corner cutting.

America is richer than it’s ever been, and its wealth has practically doubled in the past 20 years but all of those gains have gone to the top 1%. People do not realize how insanely lavish the top parasites are currently living while everyone else suffers. They’re not even capable of imagining it. And it’s still not enough for them. Their greed is destroying the world.

Don't be dishonest, you can't replicate the same flavor. Every fast food place has unique flavors that you can only approximate at home. No one has ever shown being able to make a 1 to 1 replication. If they ever did they would commit suicide with two bullets to the back of the head.
