This is just a hunch, but I feel like the only reason a few generations of americans have been circumcised at birth is more of the jews branding their cattle rather than the line the nurses give that it's "cleaner". I haven't done the research into it but I'm going to call it right now that whatever pediatrician doctors group pushed for it to be common practice, whenever they did in the past, that group is going to be a jewish group. I would bet every dollar I have left on it.
