I think there's an internal coup in Iran, and it's following a mix of the Syria and Venezuela scenarios.

Iranian coup agents are working hand in hand with the US, cleaning the countries leadership for the last several years, and they also have to disarm Iran in a way that won't cause suspicion, so they're letting foreign strikes happen more often, and using up their own stockpiles on "nothing" targets.
