People laugh and joke about them raising prices and putting people out of jobs. These are some of the things said>haha they'd never be able to raise prices and take people's jobs>then no one would be able to buy anything>they wouldn't be able to sell their consumer shit so good luck lolThey think it's funny because they assume it could never happen. I think people with this mindset are making a lot of assumptions. I see no reason why they couldn't price the bottom 90% out of the economy completely. With zero participation in it. Nothing. And the GDP would be completely fine. I'll explain why.The top 10% already do nearly 50% of total consumer spending. Their share of consumer spending has been rising every year. They could completely dump their budget low margin products and services, and raise prices on high income consumers to make up for loss of sales from the bottom 90%. A doubling of prices would completely make up for the bottom 90% dropping completely out of the economy. There would not even be a dent in the GDP.I actually think this is going to become the reality soon. And nobody sees it coming except me. This is basically how economies in the third world work lol
>>529496209Lego does this with the Dreamzzz sets. The entry-level cheap ones have MORE pieces than the more expensive ones with more interesting figures. Also, the recent $1000 Death Star set. Kek. It's like how boomers on cable subsidized cheap streaming during the 2010s.
You don't have to worry about all that because I'm going to kill you on sight.
