Jack Dorsey's company over-hired. You the CEO could say that you made a mistake or you could latch onto the current thing and watch number go up instead of down. The technology can make you more productive. There is something there but it's still very much over hyped. Using it for some task like coding it can be helpful but sometimes it will fix one problem and cause another. Or just outright bullshit you with nonsense and shit up the codebase. With time, I'm sure it will get better but the idea that something in its current form is just going around and acting on its own (without a lot of hand holding from a developer) is bullshit. But right now there are companies that have invested hundreds of billions and are burning through cash. The plan is to dump on retail investors and let them hold the bag. That's why you see IPOs planned. But in order for that to work they have to get plebs to believe AGI is happening soon and that you'd be foolish not to invest. At that point it won't matter if they achieved "AGI" or delivered on any of their stated goals because they made out like bandits with other people's money.
