Iran has something like a 25th of the military force of the US and has only recieved limited anti air support from Russia and China. Those guys sort of hung Iran out to dry. But that said, if Iran falls apart it will be very hard for the US to stop China and Russia establishing supply lines to Iranian oil through India and Turkey. India is interesting because they're in conflict with China, yet often on the fence about economic cooperation because they don't want to become a US hedgemon. That would lead to India being attacked in just the same way Iran is currently being attacked.
