Wages are better, living standards are higher, and people seem to have far more stability than before—exactly what you’d expect from any country that calls itself a top global power. Because of that, a big part of my resentment toward China has faded. I respect any nation that can deliver a better life for its own people. And honestly, they also seem like one of the strongest opponents of the modern “clown world” mentality—holding tighter to tradition and projecting a tougher moral backbone than the West does right now.
