You use frameworks like javascript, react, angular, etc that functionally generate complex HTML for you with the ability to handle much more complex applications without going insane, or you use a WYSIWYG front end development environment where you build a website by just dragging and dropping shit and selecting some options from checkboxes to tell it what to do. Front end is a pain to code in not because it is complex, but because it is finicky. A different of a couple of pixels in the placement of a div can take a frustratingly long time to work out why thats where and how to get it where you want to be. But the actual heavy lifting has always been on the back end code, and thats much harder to automate with AI because every website works the same but the back end of a program is a unique problem that requires you to understand the exact problem you are trying to solve. I've worked on three different projects over the last 10 years as a developer, and in ever case what I was making was something that didn't yet exist, and was utilizing a unique codebase with critical methods and definitions that were not available outside of the building that I worked in. AI can't code in that environment, because there is no one for AI to copy the homework of. It would have to write something actually new, not just a technically unique combination of existing stackoverflow solutions.
