I know the situation where i live is a lot of boomers built property in North Carolina or Florida at the peak, and now that their new property is built, they want the price they expected during the peak for the house they're selling which is no longer selling instantly like it was 2 years ago.

Why do people not get how much of America is a total decrepit shit hole that no one to live in. In my city the "nice part of town" has moved forward nearly 10 miles in 20 years. That's degradation and lawlessness moving forward at half a mile a year.
75% of my city (Indianapolis) is just disgusting urban sprawl with ZERO redeeming qualities.
But just outside this there are new neighborhoods being put up that are guaranteed to be decent for at least like 5 years before niggers start arriving.

Hopefully some of it is because people are starting to understand the property tax uncapping trap that new buyers discover (something which rewards people who stay in their homes for a long time).

For example, I currently pay ~$2600/year in property taxes on my home. But if I were to sell it, the property taxes (that have been capped for my entire stay here) would be uncapped, and any new buyer would have to pay ~$4000/year in property taxes.

Meanwhile, if I move; any location I go to will automatically have taxes much higher than I pay here; because property tax caps are tied to the property+owner, and not just either the property or the owner.
