Lefties (the kind that get into Animal rights and protesting) definitely have always hated Israel. That's not new. Generally when people say "normie" they also kind of assume they're not that politically active and prefer to talk about normie shit (like sportsball, favourite tv shows, etc) over politics. Here, pretty much all sides of our political spectrum hate Israel, but when it comes to our politicians, the right is actually the more sensible ones.
