I make 95k a year base pay before bonus, benefits etc. I have an 832 credit score. I have never paid interest in my life and I pay off my credit card before it is due each month, usually pay it off within days after purchasing with it even.

I bought a condo two years ago. I'm glad I did, but it isn't always a great idea. Yes I'm building equity, but the first 7 years of a mortgage are typically less than 10 percent of principal since the debt is frontloaded. I could save money refinancing, and in a couple more years I probably will if rates are low enough, but I currently pay a couple hundred more than I would to rent, and refinancing would basically tack a couple more years on paying off my loan (unless I paid the difference toward principal each month, which would be the smartest option). in the time since I bought, mortgage rates on condos have basically stood still, and interest rates are slowly but steadily falling... Basically my point is that had I rented a couple more years, I'd pretty much only be "down" or "up" a very small amount, pretty much break even, so if you aren't seeing something you like right now, waiting might not be a bad idea, but no one knows the future. renting is convenient in the mean time, and your shit can break and it isn't even your problem, actually, so yeah, that's another thing to consider psychologically owning feels good, but it really depends.
