This isnt an issue with alot of motors but a high compression motor really doesnt like to run on stuff that has evaporated-off the good stuff in the fuel. In fact, I would say a small engine would be more sensitive to this, but a performance engine will notice especially if it is carbeurated. Now if you HAD to run the old gas it would work but as an everyday thing I would try to guage how much gas you are buying so that it doesnt sit more more than about 6 months.
