Is 25 too late to change myself?

this. the only reason people believe its 25 is because the study that researched this ran out of funding while the subjects were 25

Depression and poor health habits/stress/etc that cause it is more of an issue than "plasticity" as an adult
Ask anyone with bipolar disorder how their motivation/intelligence changes between a depressive episode and a manic episode

You need to get away from this site and be around people who aren't miserable and angry

Lots of activities increase neuroplasticity. Luckily for you, these are the same activities that make you more intelligent.

Nope, plenty of time. I was forced into a major career change at 33y due to legal issues involving my company. After the lawsuit, got the message that no company would ever hire me again for patent law work.

Basically had to start over in a new industry, but now back to making 6-figs at 45y. Still kinda ticks me off that the 3rd result from googling my name is a news article on lawsuit, right under my linkedin.

I dug myself out of a hole at 26, so I'm probably one of the only ones qualified to give you real advice based on real experience.

It is far, far from too late. But you gotta get on that very narrow road of goal-oriented discipline. Sit yourself down and consider:
>what do I want my life NOT to be
Then steer in that direction through your actions. Don't wanna be a fat slob? Start planning your meals. Don't want to live off minimum wage? Look for career/education opportunities near you. The trick here is to define something you don't want and leave the solution somewhat open-ended, that way you don't get tunnel vision in trying to achieve a very specific goal you set for yourself. If you're adaptable in that way, the pieces fall where they must.

As for neuroplasticity, begin taking Lion's Mane supplements. Yes, they're expensive. They're well-worth the money. I'm 32 now pursuing an education, and I'm in the top of my class among young-ones despite this because I keep up with my supplements.

>>
>>530354763
Nah mate, it isn’t. I got used to feeling this way for a long time, stuck or behind. You must learn the lessons life teaches you and make a better tomorrow for yourself. Small steps compounding over time is not so far away for you if ever you have the courage to keep walking. It’s hard, and painful, but the way out is through.
>>
>>530354763
You're not going to have it all together at 25. I suggest you take some time off consooming content all day and actually use it to plan your life better. Force yourself to sit down and think. Go to the park in nature and don't bring your phone, just a piece of paper and a pen.

It's okay if your plan doesn't go fully the way you hoped. But you need to aim for something in the future to actually hold yourself accountable. You need something to measure. You can list off things you like doing, things you think you're good at. When in doubt ask people close to you for ideas. Sometimes a different perspective helps.

If you don't plan your life, someone else will. It turns out that other people, including people in dead end jobs and even your own parents have their own interests and they're never going to line up exactly with yours, because they're not you. So only you can decide what's actually best for you, and you have to do it in a calm, calculated way. Also don't listen to people who don't plan their life. Their advice is like asking a piece of driftwood floating in the ocean where you should swim. You have to be very deliberate in what you decide to do, otherwise you will just be lead around like a herd animal.

Most people will ignore this and make up copes, bro you need to enjoy yourself today. Drink, smoke and play vidya. Watch YouTube for hours a day. Etc. It all feels good in the moment but your older self will not be thinking you should've done more of that. They will be telling you that they wish you got your life together sooner.
>>
>>530354763
You will be fine, OP. Get moving. I didn't pull my head out of my ass until I was over 30.
>>
>>530355437
>I've never touched drugs
Do mushrooms, seeing as you worry about neuroplasticity. Don't do any other drugs. Follow the John Hopkins procedure for the trip. 5g dried Psilocybe Cubensis, commonly known as "cubes".

This is perhaps the most meaningful advice I have for you.
>>
>>530355830

No, but I believed this when I was 25, 22 even (cringe i know) and I'm almost 40 now and things are going pretty good.
You're in Canada, however, a bleak and depressing place so I can't blame you.
When I was a bit older than you one night I just decided to apply for a live-in job somwhere super far away (all expenses paid, but you gotta live on site, that takes care of all your "where will i find a place to live?" stuff) and that was very transformative. Good luck homie.

Depends, what are you self-perceived issues? I'm 30 and have accepted the fact that I'm a schizoid who won't fit the mold of what I'd hoped my life would be. But it hasn't prevented me from succeeding financially at least. There are going to be qualities that you have a hard limit on.

If you believe yourself to be worthless you will act like a worthless person.
If you start believing that you are worth something your life will start to reflect that.
You have one short life. Might as well make the effort to become what you want to be rather than live in regret.

You're more of a product of your environment than you realize. I'm sorry your father failed you. Find good people who are successful. You can define success any way you want. Hang out with them and don't red or black pill around them. Their behavior and success traits will rub of on you over time.
>where to find them
Not here. Ask grok where the people you define as successful hang out and go hang out there.

"Neuroplasticity" is a statistical effect observed in retarded studies. It need not apply to you individually. You are not a statistical average.

It is never too late. Saint Augustine was a degenerate into his 30s before seeing the light. Saint Moses was a slave and then a runaway and then a gang leader and murder before he met the Desert Fathers. Saint Paul was a prosecutor of Christ. Saint Peter denied Christ up to the last night of his life.

No? Just spend like 20 bucks on one tab of LSD.
There is a reason people like Steve Jobs claim it was the most important experience of their lives.
LSD reactivates the neuroplasticity. Look it up.

I turned my life around at 28-29.
Now I'm making good money, in a great job, I'm married to a cute wife and became a father a year ago. Life honestly couldn't be better right now.
For me it felt like a button got switched on (or switched off, really) at 30 years old sharp. When you are in your 20s, the world is a dark storm and you don't know how to deal with all of that, at 30 your mind quiet down and you can finally start doing something with your life.

Working out helped me a lot, I started that at 24. Start simple, with something that you can do every day without even leaving your place. Like ten (or however many) push ups in the morning. You'll build a habit, progressively get better and better and be able to do much harder workouts. It's like meditation, it quiets the brain, puts you in a constructive mood.

No, I landed my dream job and doubled my income at 35. Build up skills and credentials in your desired field, and never stop seeking new opportunities to train in different aspects of it. I continued to better myself and never gave up, even when shit was looking really dark. Now I can afford a house on my own and my wife won't have to work. Too bad women still suck and dating apps are a Jewish scam.
