The cult of positive thinking and "live my best life now" has made people into selfish monsters whom normal, decent people can't stand to be around.People are really, really selfish. I found this question because I was looking for information on where someone could live in the world where people still respect their neighbours. Two of my neighbours play music outside so loud we can hear it in our house with the windows shut. And it’s too hot for windows shut anyway. I can’t understand that mentality. Just to be clear I’m a huge music lover, but even when I’m on the bus with my headphones, I take them off to check and make sure other people can’t hear my music through my headphones. I can’t understand the unbelievably selfish attitude of subjecting someone else to your music. Especially when you’re doing it to them while they’re in their own home. I feel like standing outside his window while he’s relaxing and watching TV and screaming blue murder continuously while he’s trying to relax. I imagine he wouldn’t like that…. and yet….And the other problem is everything is designed for heavy bass now. People play music with heavy bass when it actually ruins the song. I don’t understand the obsession with bass. But not only that, the bass rips straight through the walls. If you have to listen to your music outside, turn the bloody bass down and it probably won’t bother people!I think people are taught nowadays that it’s wrong to think of other people. Everyone for themselves. And that being selfish is just “self love”. I want to find somewhere on this planet where being selfish is still frowned upon.A lot of this behavior is power tripping on others. They don't see playing their phone on speaker as being an issue because they don't have any inner thoughts to interrupt. There is just silence in their head so they don't see it as a big deal. The lights are on but there's nobody home. This is also why niggers can let their smoke alarm chirp for days and not be bothered by it and are confused as to why you would be bothered by it.Some advice, so you can deal with this and keep some sanity. If they're on the phone talking to someone on speaker, join the conversation. Start talking as if it's a three way call. If the person is white, they will immediately feel uncomfortable and realise their mistake and go off speaker.As for the music, the nonwhites can be sitting in pic related, blastic music on their phone with the sign right there telling them to keep the volume down. You have to be firm with them and tell them that they need to put on headphones or turn it off. They only respond to authority. You will not be able to politely explain it to them, it's like the smoke alarm they genuinely don't get it and are incapable to getting it.
