With Israel and america targeting the liberal urbanite population in cities like tehran they have probably lost most of the opposition in the future. Iran could do all this with 20-30% of support from its population, imagine if 60-80% supported the gov. They either overthrow the gov now or theyll get a significantly more capable Iran in the coming decade or two.
