Iran optimized their military strategy to Israel and the US's arsenals and behaviors. 2) the US was convinced this would be another weekend decapitation strike for the papers like what happend to Maduro and thus didn't plan for lasting operations3) Iran has really good dronesOn paper the US can absolutely win this war but it won't come to that. The only thing that matters is Israeli sentiment toward their government. Israel is a small, dense country of people with a general temperament of excitability. They won't tolerate more than a few days more of this and will demand their government make it stop, which will come in the form of a symbolic strike to cover an Iran favoring ceasefire.

The cities are full of secular people and women attending university. You can't just bomb the cities to get rid of the radical Muslims. The United States only has 1.3 million active duty, and only several hundred thousand of those are combat roles (many are logistics). Go ahead and share you thoughts on what to do there.
