Just wondering
>Personally I don't think they'll guarantee absolute protection from AI
>Yet at the same time the myth that they're less than white-collar is bullshit

If you are to criticize people in the trades, remember that they're vital to society.
The reason there is a shortage of people in such is due to the past 5 decades of conditioning people into believing that going to university to STEM is the ONLY way to succeed. If it continues than society can face the consequences, but of coarse the system might not want to compromise with the "stupid" tradespeople and instead attempting to compensate via automation

Yet I'm not shitting on education.

i fix pool/spa equipment. pumps, filters, heaters, etc. its my own business i joined the industry in 2014 and went self-employed in 2018. its great work and i love what i do. the illegal beaners and low IQ niggers in my area can clean pools with like a net and brush but theyre dumb fucking monkeys when it comes to the equipment. no robot is going to replace me until it can show up here on its own, give an estimate, diagnose and fix the issue. i'll retire by 50

I am a PM for a commercial roofing company, and I literally just went out and got a job whose total compensation package will put me at around 250k per year running their commerical roofing division (which doesn't exist yet). I've been doing it for 15 years, and no, I am not nor ever have been an installer.

lmao youre not in any type of skilled trade at all. you literally hump a desk playing roofer
>I am not nor ever have been an installer.
>zero field experience
AI replaces you by 2030

You mentioned heaters too, so I assumed you were an HVAC technician. Plus HVAC technicians do work with pools/spa equipment sometimes.

AI is going to take the white collar jobs
Sirs are going to take the blue collar jobs.
There’s no way out for whites.

ok fair enough and reasonably maybe its different for you all up there. in the US theyre completely different industries. pools do have heaters but theyre very different from a typical home furnace. there might be some overlap since pools and homes both use heat pumps but theyre still very different appliances since we're dealing with water vs air. different countries have different codes and laws so maybe you all have more industry overlap than we do. in the US HVAC is a very saturated and high competition industry because its very easy to get into
