There is this hilarious rage, this seething anger from normgroids that the nerds can make tons of money. They think its bullshit, unfair, undeserved, only the social football manager should make the big dollars and the business guy with the suit and the handshakes. They all get in a big circle and tell each other these comforting stories of the nerds finally getting kicked in the teeth and being brought low. In reality, the only people being affected by "tech layoffs" are those that never cared about the topic and only came in for the easy money, and the layoffs were due to the covid hiring booms and the loss of VC funding for west coast griftware.

I'm pretty well connected in my subset of the industry, where actual software is made, and its still business as usual. We did not have a hiring boom during covid. We have not had layoffs. Juniors are still being hired and interns are being paid very well.

Besides LLM's just making substandard inadequate and insecure code, the actual programming portion is the last thing to be done. The last month even, of multi year projects. Its crazy to think there are west coast sillicon valley retards just creating software on the fly without first laying down the system integration, requirements, constraints, and this was all done for years before we had easy mode cameo models.

They have to convince themselves the sky is falling over people they have an intrinsic hate for.
