Why have we watched cartoons when we were kids? Was it just brainwashing? Life is nothing like cartoons. What happend to the friendship and adventure?
>>530380451the cartoons when I was a kid were Batman the animated and the simpsons and gargoyles.I really don't think those were made for kids.
>>530380451I don't know, my parents made me watch anime as a kid.
back in the day life has been simpler, with real friends, good and helping neighbours and overall safe community, it was somehow "realistic" for cartoons to be beautiful looking with all the bells and whistles, now you can't fool even a 3 year old that the world is, or can be a fairytale. or maybe the jews find out that you can control a whole new generation with cartoons so that's why they decided to male cartoons fake and gay. and why is this on /gif/ at all?
>>530380834Did they make you watch Berserk? That might be child abuse.
>>530380897I want to go back
the rest of my idiotic soilennial generation seems to think they were le heckin' wholesome chungus.maybe they weren't all bad but getting kids glued to the tv, consooming cartoon toys/merch and watching HFCS candy commercials is pretty fucking jewish. I particularly disliked things like spongebob and ren & stimpy because their spastic humor seemed tuned for for low attention spans.it also portrayed others as stupid, lazy, or incompetent and I think that had a big part in reinforcing narcissism and wrongly projecting those pessimistic traits on your peers.
>>530380451To learn certain life lessons.
>>530380451depends on the cartoons. Back in the day you had three categories:1.cartoons made as propaganda (captain planet, G.I.Joe, old loony tunes cartoons, Anything made by Disney, etc.)2.Cartoons made by anti-establishment creative hippies (batman, x-men, cybersix, powerpuff girls, anything made by Don Bluth, etc.)3. Cartoons made for adults. (Simpsons, south park, ren&stimpy, king of the hill, anything made by Ralph Bakshi.)There was less studio consolidation, more money, less psychology analytics and user metrics, less understanding of what would or wouldn't work. Because of this they had to rely on creatives more to make an art they could sell as a product, now they know enough and are consolidated enough to skip the reliance and just churn out product they pretend is art. You also have the brainwashing in education and the lack of people living real lives so the people making products aren't creative because they aren't actually people, they are more like thought forms attached to whatever is in vogue socially or politically and are thus unable to produce anything of value. The values of friendship and adventure are only inherent in actual human beings, not current thought forms and companies aren't going to risk making things they don't have a high certainty will be successful and have a return for shareholders.
Some still do. My wife is a fan of some pony show. I think some episodes of We Bare Bears have clever writing.
>>530380451Old cartoons had classical music and MOST IMPORTANT SHOWED WHAT KARMA IS TO KIDS SO THEY GROW UP UNDERSTANDING CAUSE AND EFFECT.
>>530384151Speaking of whichhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZTE9MDoaLs
>>530380451>Disney Channel>CartoonsThis is how I know you're LARPingDisney Channel never showed cartoons in our generation, always shitty live action sitcomsYou had to watch Toon Disney for thatBut I'm sure seeing as you're from Poland you probably just watched Super RTL and RTL II and maybe Kika or Tele 5 and other German channels like Kabel Eins like a good chunk of Europe, and then later maybe Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon
>>530380834Faggot.
Ducktales, Tailspin, Gi Joe, Transformers, Gummy Bears, Darkwing Duck is what I watched.
>>530382000Spongebob was good for the 1st 3 seasons and not spasticWhen the original creator left, they ruined the show
>>530380451Cartoons are good because you are less likely to conflate them with real life. As a child I didn't watch much tv of any sort but was bewildered how people in my age group would act, when I got older I saw some of the TV from that time and realized they got their behaviors from the TV show. That doesn't happen with SpongeBob unless you're severely mentally ill
>>530380451fuck yeah i loved cartoons
>>530380451Just another thing so parents didnt have to raise their kids themsevles. Let the state raise them on delusions and broken promises
>>530386536Same
>>530386522>Cartoons are good*used to be goodNow they're deadTalentless tumblrtrannies ruined themAnimation is dead as an art form We'll never have stuff like webm related again
>>530386502Did you like the broadway musical? It was surprisingly great.https://youtu.be/tPA-Es2V4oY
>>530386904I don't have an opinion on the modern state of animation, or of vintage animation per se, simply the fact that cartoons are less likely to imprint the idea that "this is how things are in the real world, don't you want to fit in?" To the impressionable masses who so desperately wish to be part of a flock
>>530383468>2.Cartoons made by anti-establishment creative hippies (batman, x-men, cybersix, powerpuff girls, anything made by Don Bluth, etc.)Wut?All of those were made by big corporationsIt's not like they were indie cartoons
>>530380451>What happend to the friendship and adventure?Adventure and the search for city of Atlantis turned into Quantum Masturbation, Climate Change Propaganda and Fake Happenings Friendship was always an ideal and never something real, it women were never able to be friends with men, because they mostly infiltrated male spaces without even liking them, contributing to them and were actively making complete full of themselves not understanding the culture specific to the places they were invading, men could only make friends with other men if both men were employed or at least both men had sex, if there was disbalance, it grew obvious until the tensions reached critical point and one party departed finding its way to 4chan /pol/ where they spilled their hate towards the other side and how unfair life iswas it just brainwashing? it was definite a ... deluding experience, a family friendly one, a one where you being young can find value in it for as long as the illusion remains uncorrupted and it served its purpose well by allowing the overall illusion of youth to propagate for longeras an adult, i cannot even imagine playing the channel again even if i was able to find it on the TV channels, but if i were to ever be young again, i'd most definitely find value in it
>>530383468>Cartoons made for adults >ren&stimpyOk you're b8ing
>>530387511*not contributing to them*
>>530387199Never watched itDidn't know it even had itI just know Spongebob should have ended with the movieAlso the German dub I grew up watchig was kino
>>530387250I don't know how it is nowadays, but back then cartoons were ''for kids'' and were not considered cool to watch past a certain age.Which sucks since animation(especially good animation) takes so long to make and it doesn't get the respect it deserves.I guess maybe Japan kinda respects it, but Europe and US? Nah.Animation really is no worse than whatever live action goyslop they push.
