Getting older and seeing that conservatives don't care about conserving anything other than Israel and the economical wellbeing of boomers and past that at best simply strive to recreate the world how it was when they were teenagers, I became an egoist. There are no leaders worth following, no movements worth dying for nor anyone who would be inspired by my potential martyrdom for any kind of idea. Modernity has degraded and poisoned everything and everyone including me. The forces released by misguided progressive changes have gone far enough and have seeped deeply enough into everything that no amount of conservatism will simply pack them back into the pandxra(they/them)'s box so that time can then be frozen in a 1990s type golden age forever. An intense, uncompromising reactionary movement that would reset the world to how it was hundreds of years ago rather than looking to recreate industrial ethno-states of the past century might have had a chance but it has no real appeal to cattle (myself included) softened by creature comforts and won't be memed into existence by posting frogs on the internet. I no longer pretend to myself to be looking for or wanting to participate in a cure to the world's disease and embrace the fact that I am one of the symptoms of it. Après moi, le déluge
