Used to live in Abingdon, VA. Insanely old town, founded in the 1700s. Still has old buildings in use like Barter Theater (plays, not movies) and Martha Washington Inn (yes that Washington built it). I think I saw maybe 5 niggers total the 10 yrs I lived there and the house I lived in was only 95k. They had a lot of hiking trails and there's unmarked wilderness everywhere you look if you want to go out into it. The only downside is everyone there is poor since there's few jobs (I had a WFH job) and the infrastructure seems poor as my electric would go out 30-40% of the time there was any sort of storm and take forever to get turned back on. Appalachia is amazing if you hate people and can get good income from somewhere else.
