I already bike to work every morning and it keeps me in good shape. Stop complaining about gas prices when you can get an EV or bike

Doesn’t biking ruin your back and knees? The few bikers I know suffer from herniated disks and stiff knees
>>
I can't ride 50 miles without getting a flat tire.
>>
>>531165525
This is why you never ride with traffic, even though that's the 'law'
>>

You just can't trust a mexican woman driver.

>I can't ride 50 miles without getting a flat tire.
You need tire liners, 95% of the time your flat is caused by automotive tire wire.
They are expensive but worth it.

I did this for years and it always is ass if the weather is even a little bit bad, granted it was a 40 minute bike ride but even 30 or 20 after a long day could be miserable.
>Windy (makes you go like 1/2 speed at twice the effort)

>Those 90 degree and humid days
Nah. If you work is close, sure, maybe.
>>531165547
That's because bike fags are retarded, they go for like 50-100 mile bike rides. Biking 5 miles to work is fine, and it's lower impact than even walking.

Evs are expensive to charge also unless you have solar panels on your house.

Yeah but if you are riding against traffic you can always react.
If you are riding with traffic you are seriously injured or killed.
Lawmakers are retarded they wrote the law thinking that if the bike is going in the same direction as the car that hits them full force the difference in speed will be less.
This ignores that the bike can instead avoid the impact if riding against traffic.

You can have a DUI and still drive.
Fun fact, you can still drink and drive with a DUI.

Riding a bike is just mad healthier for you.
Pro tip, you can drink and ride your bike to work with a DUI.

You just don't have a loicense.

Midwit take. I've biked to work every day for the last two years in a major US city. My route in follows a particularly busy road with painted bike lanes on both sides for about a mile.
> if you are riding against traffic you can always react.
Nope, (black) people are stupid and don't watch. Also, (black) drivers never expect a bicycle to cross in front of them while turning right.
>Lawmakers are retarded they wrote the law thinking that if the bike is going in the same direction as the car that hits them full force the difference in speed will be less.
That's how the physics works though. Drivers implicitly expect moving objects will be on their left (that's why passing on the right isn't always illegal but is always dangerous). Whether you're with or against traffic, you're on the driver's right, so pick the one where F=ma is minimized.
>This ignores that the bike can instead avoid the impact if riding against traffic.
You can also avoid the impact when riding with traffic by riding like you're actually invisible to every driver at all times and assuming people will cut you off.

My drivers license got suspended for a dime bag but my cay still starts.
>>
I will! After 12-13 H shifts, walking on shift outdoors indoors 18-24K steps, including a shit ton of stairs... I will bike 4-5H to work, and same amount back! In snow too, I don't care.
>>
>>531165276
Biking , committing around will make you extremely weak. Extremely weak. You will get weak legs and leg joints.
You sit and your legs joints do not carry your weight . No impact on the ground when you walk for example.
It is the worst thing to do.

In order to avoid that you have to bike with heart rate above 140–160 beats per minute and pedalling pace above 90-110 revolutions per minute. You can not do that when you bike to go to work for example. Coz noone wants to get tired before work. And so on. Soon everybody gets biking into a slowncomfort zone with minimum effort.

Biking around is bad for you.
>>
>>531165525
This happens when you ride to the right side of the road.
Never so thatThenmore you go to the right, the more cars, drivers pressure you andnouahnyoi to the right into the curv.
Ride close to the middle and make them slow down and wait to overtake you.
It is easier for the driver to hit you o. the side , than to hit you with his front.
That will be immediately intentional murder, while side hit could be easily considered unintentional, even the fault of the biker.

Do not obey the traffic law. It is made for cars , not for bikers. You obey it you getnhit by cars.
>>
>>531165769
>Biking 5 miles to work is fine, and it's lower impact than even walking.
Exactly!!!
It will make you weak with weak leg joints.

>>531165547
It depends what kind odnbike you use and for what.
The knees dont get damaged by biking around.
For transportation, commutting around you need a dutch bike.
Bit if you do it every day you will get weak legs and weak leg joints, especially ancles.
Here's why
>>531167983
>>
>>531168688
Wtf is committing around? This is about ebikes no comments acknowledge that..
Even people that can't ride a bike should try ebikes.
>>
>>531168513
If you're doing an 8 hour work day you should be walking enough that biking isn't "making you weak" or whatever.
>>531167983
You really do not need more exercise or stress on your joints if you're doing 8 hours of work + 1 hour of biking every day.
>>

More like plateau. There's one short, sharp rise, then it's pretty flat up top.
Still, pretty rare to see someone bragging about Dubuque, Iowa.
>>
The bike trail in our region is a converted rail line that used to provide local transportation service to all the local town centers before it was shut down in the 1970's after the highway was built. The irony is thermonuclear.
