His point is, if Trump backs off of every promise he made to uphold then there is no difference between GOP and Democrats. So if the people are destined to lose every issue it makes more sense to pressure GOP not to be cucks because the independent vote actually controls who gets lower in national elections. They don't have to be biased right if they get nothing from it.
