And the irony is they STILL never experienced life “as a man” at any point in their life. Sad.

She has honorary man status in my book. Played life on nightmare mode like the rest of born with a penis. Goodnight sweet prince.

Nothing is more "gender-affirming" than killing yourself as an FtM.

To be fair, she had a lot of mental problems way before she decided to "go undercover" as a man.

But yeah, from her book and other TV interviews, it seems she was very, very taken aback by how genuinely supportive and friendly guys actually were to her as a guy, how much they seemed to pick up on the fact that she was lonely and socially awkward, and yet they decided to extend their hands in friendship and take her under their wing, even though they thought she was an effeminate gay guy. When she finally "came out" as a woman to them, none of them were angry about it, like she expected them to be, but a couple of them told her, "I could kind of tell that you had maybe been abused as a kid, so I felt sorry for you and wanted to help you." And actually, that was true, she was abused as a kid, and they were able to pick up on that, but not the fact that she was biologically female. Some of them told her they were worried she was at risk for suicide and tried to be extra helpful and friendly towards her because of that.

This was a major, major shock to her because she expected the exact opposite kind of treatment, she expected men to be rage-a-holics and meanie-pants and that they would constantly be losing their tempers and fighting and attacking each other, she expected them to act like cavemen and instead, she found them to be kind and friendly and GALLANT. Gallant and chivalrous, at every turn.

She went into it as a man-hating feminist and turned into a woman who hates other women because she realized she had been lied to about men and that men were the opposite of the monsters she had been led to believe they were, and that women were the cold, callous, and cruel ones who lied and manipulated and stabbed their friends in the back. Whereas it wasn't until she hung out with men as a man that she actually experienced genuine friendship and camaraderie.

It's actually a really, really sad story.
