I have no doubt that by sheer numbers, US could have taken Greenland without problem. But what is the least politically costly way to do this? You cant really pull forces from Pacific, cause China. Same goes for middle east cause it was risky even before Iran.
You have US IInd and VIth fleets, with iffy ressuply, some 3 MEUs, and lets say half an air force.

Now, it is pretty evident that Denmark would need to hold just until midterms, and bombing of Serbia (as an example of air campaign to force a political goal) took some 2.5 months.

War powers act limits action to some 90 days. And its iffy if Trump could achieve war powers with aggressive action against denmark.

It is also a questionable if Canada would let US into its airspace and waters.

Can you take greenland against Denmark, France, and probably german moral support, within 90 days, and before too many flag bearing caskets make it back home?
>>
Is this still even a topic? My impression was trump had completely forgotten about it and moved onto other shit.

If the mutts would invade an ally because their pedo president has another autistic outburst to distract from his incompetence and involvement in child rape, then the US power would gone for good and they can pack their shit from europe and Power project from Epstein island.

>>531184249
idk why this is still a topic. Trump is onto other things. the US would body yurop with like zero casualties and no one in the US actually gives a shit about any other country. it's literally irrelevant. all of the iran/yurop seethe is just a cudgel from people who already made up their mind on how to vote regardless of trump's international policies. we legitimately do not care about you or think about you. the only thing that is going to impact the midterms is the economy. everyone else already decided how they are going to vote
>>
>>531184250
europe saying no to him will probably rekindle it
>>
They would stop after the first carrier gets nuked by France f35
>>
>>531184250
Depends. He backed off for now because danes started targeting the us gov bond market in retaliation. There were easier targets to attack. Like venezuela.

But if his big chimp out against zuttslamics had gone smooth, cuba was next target for regime capture. After that I do believe he would be cocky enough to occupy greenland and rename it to trumpland. Consequences be damned
>>
if anything trump is more dangerous now. He has shown hes not afraid to make big decision or go to war. Denmark should keep the runway demolition charges in place.

>US takes Greenland in three hours more or less unopposed since any Euroforces are cinders before first boots touch down
>entire global economy crashes or Europe proves itself the ultimate cuckold and is abused globally until the end of time
I suspect the former, possibly, maybe, if the Euros by some miracle managed to get their shit together to literally any extent. It would've been a complete disaster for for everyone on planet earth, just not in the military sense.

>park a moderately-sized ship near greenland
>"hey fuckos it's ours now"
>it's past 4pm so nobody from denmark received the message as they're free for the day
>every greenlander is too drunk to communicate in more than groans and intelligible animal noises
>eventually the ship leaves out of sheer confusion, but reports 'mission complete' as to not be too embarrassed
>US companies continue to not mine anything as it's wildly more expensive than the minerals are worth
>US bases continue operating as before since they were always allowed
>the only change is some new silly name, visible only in US geofenced google maps
idk man, it all seems a bit silly
>>
>>531184253
Trump personally doesn't care about Greenland, Greenland is needed for Peter Thiel types because they want to make independent city states for themselves there, that's literally it, you can find this online.
>>
>>531184254
if France tried to nuke a carrier there wouldn't be a paris anymore
>>531184255
lol no. yurop has no leverage
>>
EU called the retard in white house and said that they were prepared and committed to dump US bonds and decouple from dollar if USA went ahead with a Greenland chimpout. That was the end of it (for now).
>>
>>531184261
yurop is a colony and has zero leverage militarily or economically.
yurop is like a nation of Greeks and Italians
>>
>>531184259
>Greenland is needed for Peter Thiel types because they want to make independent city states for themselves there
there's tens of thousands of random tropical islands all around the world and they want to make independent city states in a frozen hellscape that is too cold to even have trees (literally 1 tiny forest in the entire greenland)? what are they going to do there? who will move into their futuristic cities in fucking greenland where you can't leave your house without four layers of clothing?
>>
>>531184260
>lol no. yurop has no leverage
Except for the fact that EU countries hold massive amounts of US debt and dollars, are a big market for US companies from search engines to weapons to luxury goods, and many EU/EFTA nations habe sovereign wealth funds that invest a lot in the USA.
>>
>>531184263
Idk, ask Thiel and Yarvin
>>
Why's this US vs. EU divide and conquer popping up again outside of both burger and yuro hours?

It's not trump that is dangerous, it's congress doing absolutely nothing and leaving him to his shenanigans so that he can freely behave like an absolute monarch.

/pol/ is really riled up this morning for some fucking reason
>>
>>531184274
Good rule of thumb that everybody prolly already knows, every shillstorm coincides with something really fucking bad happening to the second world, at least until Russia and Iran run out of money to pay jeets.
>>
>>531184252
>US would body yurop with like zero casualties
like in Iran?
>>
To prevent invasion all you need to do is station enough Danish, European, Canadian, UK etc. soldiers there to act as a tripwire. The US military and public won't stand for killing white allies. So long as it's clear they'll put up a fight and not just surrender.
>>
>>531184275
>until Russia and Iran run out of money to pay jeets.
at least those ones are getting paid
meanwhile /pol/troons are doing it for free
>>
>>531184266
dont try to understand, just go to war with the EU already.
>>
>>531184249
>But what is the least politically costly way to do this
Buying it after creating a world wide recession.
>>
>>531184263
Those types are the kind who think some grand Apocalypse is gonna happen, and that they're the only humans worth being alive simply because they have lots of money. So they're picking shitholes like Greenland because it was revealed to them in their visions of the future. These guys are basically no different than a doomsday cult leader, just without the pretense of religious faith.
>>
>>531184256
He’s already TACOing on Iranian oil sanctions.
>>
>>531184274
Bibi made another video saying he’s alive.
>>
>>531184266
Might just be related to the latest article describing danish defence-planning in case the US went completely of the rails
>>
>>531184274
The guys who replaced all the Iranian leaders we killed the other day lasted 24 hours before they got killed themselves.
>>
Not a military question. Not weapons related. The only countries US can't curbstomp given enough political will are the ones with nukes.
>>
>>531184266
Because the mutts are neo-Russia
>>
>>531184249
You wont do shit

Also this article is just our current communist dictator trying to fan the flames of patriotism so people will vote for her on Tuesday
>>
correct me if i'm wrong but european nations still have an high tech industrial manufacturing and the us relay on them l ike for asml and zeiss
