Why did humans build a civilization upon the existence of this goop, that comes from the most unstable areas of the planet, and is going to run out anyway?

I was very interested in the earliest Tesla vehicles back in 2010 because I was extremely worried about oil running out as early as 2025
>>
I installed a solar panel to the outside of my window and use it to charge my phone :)

It produces low cost energy, plastics, and a whole bunch of othee useful byproducts. It's still cleaner than methane by a long shot.

Its just where we are. You gotta think
All this oil stuff is fairly new in history

Pensylvania?

Enormous EROI (something like 100:1 at the start), relatively energy dense (so it is easy to transport and its refined version can even be used on the fly) and its subproducts are incredibly useful.

Tesla and most electric cars are gay.
You can have an electric car that just works, but no we're not allowed that, instead we get smart devices with malware.
>>
>>531199391
It is energy dense.

Mang dis sheeit lowkey feel like we built a whole-ass high-tech penthouse on top of sum quicksand ain it? We ain choose oil cuz we loved it, we chose it cuz it wuz da fastest way to fire up da industrial explosion. And we ain left cuz we got structurally addicted to how convenient dat shit wuz. Simple as dat. Like don get it twisted back in da “Oil Age” ain nobody sit down and map dis shit out like no grand blueprint. Nah it wuz really jus a bunch of opportune ass moves off straight greed n desperation driven by 3 main thangs:
>>
>>531200728
>1. Tha Density n da Bag
Before oil we wuz outchea struggling w coal, dat bulky dirty shit n whale oil which wuz limited as hell. Then petroleum came thru like dat “magic” plug. Dat thang is so energy-dense its stupid. A lil bit of dat liquid could push a whole damn semi-truck or a jet. Plus being liquid meant u could pump it pipe it and ship it cross oceans way easier than dat heavy-ass coal.

>2. Tha Sunk Cost Fallacy (A.K.A. We In Too Deep)
Soon as dey got dem internal combustion engines running rite da whole world bent da knee. We ain jus build cars, we redesigned whole cities laid down highways n mapped out global shipping routes specifically fa oil. So now tryna switch up? Das gon cost trillions of new dollas. We stuck in a major path dependency. At dis point its ackshually cheaper to keep fumbling w dis shaky unstable source than to tear da whole system down n start from scratch.

>3. Geopolitics vs. Geology (Or How da Earth Played Us)
Look niggaz ain pick where dis shit wuz at. Dat wuz da Earths ancient biology making da calls. Oil got stashed where prehistoric organic matter got buried and cooked unda jus da rite pressure. Half dese oil-rich cuntries turned into warzones bcuz of da oil. Dat whole “Resource Curse” is real, nuffin but authoritarian rulers corruption n beef between factions all fighting ova who gets to hold da bag.

>4. Tha “We Running Out” Timeline
Eventually yeah da wells gon run dry. But erry time we think we hit “Peak Oil” dem folks push da date back. Dey started fracking n deep-sea drilling hitting reserves we couldn even touch befo. So now even though we know da shortage is coming it don feel urgent to dem policymakers. Dey just kick da can.

Because they wanted to rope American foreign into the region to protects Israel.

>retarded memefag can't into momentum
You'll get there eventually. Just keep sitting in one spot drooling on your keyboard.

Oil is constantly produced by the earth it won't run out neither will natural liquified gas. You guys always fall for left twit propaganda so easily. There is many (thousands globally) untapped reserves of oil just they aren't tapped yet because the old reserves more than meet demand.

I take 1 hour showers every morning, im taking a bath right now and I've been in here so long I drained it and refilled it with hot water again, got out to take a piss and grab another bath beer.

Oil is abiotic and is made via natural earth processes. It's never going to run out. They've been fear-mongering about 'peak oil' for over 50 decades now.
Oil been found way too deep in the earth for it to be made out of dead plants or whatever.
Essentially, oil is near abundant in supply. They are lying. Climate change is a scam.

There are a trillion barrels of oil left, only enough to last 50 years.

Canada has about 200 billion barrels. We are going to be so rich once the world starts to run out and get desperate.

Sure burgers, you can buy some of our oil... at 5x the market price. HAHAHAHA
