Mainly the ones from 1980s and 1990s. It will heal your soul. Use old software and CRT monitors and Windows 7 or earlier or some obscure Linux distro like Kubuntu 8.04. You will mentally go back to better times.

Then you'll realize all of this was a long time ago and things have changes for the worse and there's no going back and now you try not to kill yourself wishing you can go back

Anything produced after 1993 is depressing and lame.

Last year I watched one 90s movie that was very simple, not pretentious, yet pleasant to watch. And it had a happy ending.

What happens to people if they watch stuff like that every weekend instead of modern slop?
Politically speaking.
'Cause I have a theory that all the modern hysterical slop in media is designed to make everyone neutoricized and then throw them into a war.

if you watch enough old movies from a that decade, especially ones with the same big names, you'll realize they planned things way ahead of time. And what we're seeing now that seems timid to us was extreme to the masses back then.

I don't watch anything made after the year 2000. That's always been my cut off point.

I agree with this. Watch shit from 70s-90s it helps you remember that in the not distant past shit was different. Film is what globohomo wants to erase but leftists make a lot of money on this art making it hard to justify an erasure of evidence that the world was different before mass immigration. Theyre doomed but not without massive pain for the goy.

It will depress the fuck out of you. I am watching old Law and Order and ER now. The first episode of ER, Doctor Greene gets a job offer to move into private practice. 150k a year + a club membership for an experienced surgeon in the most downtown Chicago was an offer you would be absolutely retarded to turn down in the year of our Lord 1994. Law and Order Seasons 1-3 they are bitching about the exact same things we are now and in 2008.

Watching shot from the past gives a temporary shot of joy and then waves of sadness when you realize we could go back except no one will act to do it

Truth. I held on to a bunch of old A/V equipment I collected as a kid, and recently set it all up just to watch VHS tapes for shits. It was remarkably comfy. It's amazing how a good movie still holds up even if you're watching it on a fuzzy, degraded, 20-inch, 35-year-old TV. Audio is more important than video for proper immersion, anyway, and just about any old amp/receiver with decent bookshelf speakers will BTFO modern TVs speakers or "soundbars".

Hilariously, it's also 100% faster to pop in a VHS tape and hit play than it is to boot up a smart TV and navigate a goyslop app. As long as you were kind and remembered to rewind. Also, there's the added bonus that you actually own it.

Not totally true, you have to rewind. Make sure you have a rewinder.
>>

Rewinders are nice, but honestly if you have a VHS collection and legitimately want to preserve them, I'd recommend just putting the tape away when you're done and rewinding it before you watch next time. Reason being that a tape that's been in a VCR for an hour or longer has been heated up, thus making it more prone to damage/degradation, especially in a hi-speed rewind machine.

Rewinding a tape that has cooled down will make it last so much longer. In fact, some mom & pop rental stores actually had "Be Kind, DON'T Rewind!" stickers for this exact purpose. It was more worth it to them to preserve their investment in their tapes for the long run, especially since popular movies would stay in rotation for years.

That's true, heat softens and weakens all materials, they will wear faster.
