Per capita studies are relevant if you want to assess the criminality of a demographic, but ultimately it still doesn't make a difference in common day-to-day life. Otherwise the fact that men commit something like 98.5% of all violent crime should make you histrionic and paranoid around all other men, and only find safety and solace in the far less-likely to commit murder fairer sex.
