Americans are failing to pay their student loans. Not just 'on time,' but at all. Millions have simply quit paying, and are not even trying to pay. Trump threatened to re-start garnishments and liens, but he has cucked out so far. What should be done to force them to pay debnts?

The government can garnish wages without a court order when it comes to student loan debt so I'm not sure why they're not just actively doing that. It's not like this Administration gives a single fiddler's fuck about zoomies in the first place.

Apparently the Department of Education no longer has enough staffers to process/approve garnishment requests in the first place. Also, it would presumably look bad to start garnishing people right as a war-related recession is about to start.

In the US? All sorts of options are available to the government to recover federally-backed student debt.

>Direct wage garnishment (intercepting the money before an employer can pay you)
>Indirect wage garnishment against self-employed or seasonal workers with unsteady incomes by using tax returns to demand inferred payment after the fact
>Placing liens (claims) against any property owned by the debtor, with certain exclusions (I think one primary residence is excluded, but not much else)
>Garnishing or seizing inheritances or other financial windfalls
>Garnishing or seizing any sort of government or state benefits such as pensions, Social Security, etc.
>Liens/garnishments against PRIVATE pensions
>Lawsuits to recover directly from a debtor's bank accounts or other accounts

Among other measures.

Enough people have seen retard richfags get endless bailouts for their failed ventures and realized that its all a scam.

You spend your whole life working to have your job outsourced. You pay to earn a college degree to have your entire field made irrelevant by A.I., you save your money and try to pay down your debts only for some politicians retarded antics to make everything even more unaffordable.

There is simply no reason to participate in society beyond the bare minimum required not to starve to death when the whole thing is a ponzi scheme you can never win.

University is Jew shit anyway. No class in the world is worth Millions of dollars. Most classes aren’t worth 500 dollars. Total Jew shit. Just Boomer faggots and Jews preying on younger generations. That’s why they want you to pay so badly, more easy money for them from their evil schemes on the world.

As much as I hate college kids I say fuck it let's collapse the system. I just foreclosed on my home and will be homeless in two weeks cause no one will hire white American men still (just jeets, Mexicans and somalis where I live). I'm about to default on my one credit card just for the lolz even thought I could pay it off right now if I wanted to.

Any other Collapse enjoyers?
>>
>>531223287

makes sense not to pay. The DNC will eventually 'forgive' them to buy some more votes. Of course forgiving them means the taxpayer will pay or rather the loans will be added to the national debt.

>>
>>531223287
Money is fake. Nothing will happen if nobody pays their debts. Look at the national debt lol and lmao.
>>
>>531223287
I'm pretty sure he wanted to waive student loans like Biden but got told no so the next best thing is just to never start repayments ever again.
I'm pretty sure federal student loans are being used as underlying securities for some other bullshit.
>>
>>531225844
Trump DID restart payments, but so far, he is not enforcing nonpayment. So, people are going into default, but are not facing any financial consequences for defaulting.
>>
College is magic. When you go you automatically know answers to questions and are guaranteed employment. Otherwise why would you be given a diploma? You can't fail college. It's a privilege
>>
>>531224735
It's true, nothing. I haven't paid them a dime in 15 years, even if I had the money I wouldn't pay.
>>
>>531225955
Which is effectively the same as not doing anything to restart payments.
>>
>>531223287
Imagine loaning a 20 year old more money than they've ever seen and even letting them use parts of it while living on ramen dinners and expecting them to act responsible, all the while their teachers rail on capitalism and say education should be free. It's predatory and needs to be reformed.
>>
>>531223287
If there are no (((kikes))), they are no (((banks))), so their will be no (((loan debt))).
>Simple
Now every ex-student has thousands of reasons to find a Final Solution to their repayment trap.
>>
>>531223287
>take loan youll never be able to repay
>ask the government to pay it back for u
U GET WHAT U FUCKING DESERVE
>>
>>531226176
it needs to be reformed severely but i guess democrats just want to ride a free money wedge issue forever like they do a lot of fake things.
probably the worst part is people stupid enough to think they are just going to be able to afford a house with this free money when that's not how things work at scale. all that money turned into the market isn't going to make those things cheaper. that needs even more severe reform to stop the slavery levels of debt allowed to be pulled forward.

It's very disappointing that Trump and the GOP congress have refused to go after the universities themselves, even though the universities have gotten incredibly rich off of student loans. Something as simple as putting universities on the hook for defaulted loan debt. That would be a very popular move, but Republicans killed any discussion of that and put the focus entirely on the debtors/students, which just seems kind of dumb.
>>
>>531223287
shouldn't have loaned 80k to an 18 year old to get a degree in "jazz studies"

Lmao. I homestead now and have not made a single payment on it. Fuck zog.
I can play the sax like a fucking monster though.

Something to consider when meeting a woman is how much she owes to creditors. If she has 30k in credit card debt and owes 100 grand in college loans thats a lot of extra debt to take on.
>>
>>531227517
>the universities have gotten incredibly rich off of student loans.

yes it seems the student loan system turned into a massive transfer of wealth from the taxpayers to leftist controlled universities. Don't hold your breath waiting for it to be investigated even by the GOP.
>>
>>531230264
Yet the college leftists never protest the high tuitions charged, they only protest having to pay them.

They already tried that grift with Biden clown and using conservative judges to block it after getting the talk radio boomers (who didn't say a word about tens of billions in PPP loan forgiveness) all worked up.
>Well, it is what it is. We tried our damnest. Keep voting blue.

They won't do more than tell the same lie and use the same theatrics again.

There's no way trump is going to let the ((bankers)) down. They will get their money, either from the students, or the taxpayers. You got what you voted for.
