china is the world's biggest sulfur producer, they import from the middle east too but they have the capacity to just increase production so it's not a big deal

another fun fact is that china has larger oil reserves than the usa, half of china is a desert, it's just too deep so it's not worth drilling it, but the higher oil prices go the closer profitability becomes for gobi desert oil fields, ultimately china has lebensraum to produce anything that they want, it's just a matter of profitability, and if donnie disrupts global markets to the level where trade breaks down then china just has the incentive to make everything at home

Looks like their set then.

The whole strategy of blockading China is kind of sus when they have natural resources and the means to refine them, and share a land border with Russia.

Japan, S. Korea, Philipines, Taiwan, etc are going to be the ones completely cut off from essential materials the moment war starts.

At this point the 1st and 2nd island chains will instantly pivot towards China if it means avoiding famine. Bazinga
>>
>>531275605
Not instantly. The people will have to suffer enough to overthrow their politically captured governments and kick out US military bases in order to pivot to China.
>>
>>531275805
You severely underestimate the flexibility of democracies. America went from ally to enemy in a single election. The same can happen to Asian democracies.
>>
>>531276019
America went from a suzerain who pretends its vassals are equals and calls them "allies", to a suzerain who drops those pretenses and doesn't pretend that they're equals.

>you severely underestimate the flexibility of democracies
You're talking about restructuring the the strategic position of militarily occupied countries as an "instant pivot". It will be anything but instant if it's done through the (((democratic))) process.
>>
>>531276451
America does not have the capacity to continue occupation if they get ejected. They cannot contest ejection because doing so will alarm everyone else and lead to more ejections.

Chinks should be used as fertilizer
