The Chinese certainly have more interest right now in cannibalising the already failing Russian economy and territory they can and showing themselves as at least dominant over that super power. Iran showed china isn’t willing to face the us head on and is fully willing to dwindle its ally’s resources in its time of need rather than stand by its side against what it always framed as “imperialism”. The Chinese don’t care about imperialism as a moral value, they would be imperialist if their wasn’t a greater power keeping them from doing so, they have no interest in completely destroying American markets because American markets prop up the make believe game of manufacturing they play to keep such a massive population preoccupied
