They're pumping the market with ETFs, gold is going to skyrocket when the ETF shitstorm hits and they go full force majeure.
>>
Treasuries selling reserves to make up for losses in exports?
>>

when petro dollar fails, only metals have practical value.

Epic collapse kek. Down a whole fucking 1000 dollars from the top, that's nuts. Precious metals are worthless shiny shitcoins of no value, grow up already. Oil is real tangible value

Lol, I went to my lcs on Friday and got one junk silver coin, the dude next to me bought 2.5 ounce of gold.

Some of the largest reserve holders in the world are dumping their reserves to stay afloat right now.
It will eventually stabilize or go back up. But it’s a bit dangerous to buy because we were at a ath. I think it will be back up fairly quickly, but it could just as easily stay down for a while.
>>
>>531414731
Because oil is liquid gold right now.

The homosexual, pedophile, criminal Scott Bessent is manipulating WTI spot prices by massively short selling every time it hits $100, with an infinitely printed supply of US dollars that can never be margin called, because they print the money. No need to worry, it'll all be fine

>>
>>531414731
Selling gold as we go in to historic instability, hmm. I think they are selling gold to buy oil. Oil will spike, it will cause recession and demand collapse, and oil will go back down. Then people will go back into gold and silver.

No because the criminal Trump regime will keep printing infinity money to throw shorts at the futures market to artificially keep the prices down. They can't be margin called because they print the money.
>>
>>531414731
>>531415070
The longer this current system is trying to hold onto it's life on it's deathbed, the worse the collapse is going to get. In the Balkan war's, especially in Bosnia, people that didn't own any land and/or had food production means, had to trade in their gold and silver for said food. I think it was 1 ring (usually gold) for a considerable bag of flour.
If the predictions made over the past few years, decades and (yes) centuries is true and the endgame is coming up... Then holding physical gold and silver could keep a man alive for a time, before he gets back on his feet. As I have a feeling that an artificial food shortage is soon going to arise. But I might just be a doomer, making connections where none are. Yet, if you got spare cash you should consider a few alternatives.
>>
>>531414731
Because Gold has gone up so much over last 2 years and because other things are crashing right now, retail and some institutional investors are selling to take profit or cover positions.
But don't sell if you're reading this and make sure to buy because central bankers are not selling and will soon start buying again
>>
Dont care still buying silver.

Gold is a store of value, the fact they can sell gold for fuel shows that it fulfills its purpose. The profit margins on gemstones are bigger yet they aren't used as a reserve store of value.

Thanks to ETF, the big players are taking their gains, and longs are getting liquidated. And dollar up=gold down, that's how it works. But the predictions of the big institutions like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan still table on $5-6k before EOY, so if you have the funds it's probably the right time to buy gold, and eventually silver.

money is a tool to store your economic power for deployment at a later time due to a social phenomenon known as "the coincidence of wants"
>what is the coincidence of wants?
it is when you and another person agree to trade goods and/or services, which is an unreliable way to live in a large society that has forgone self-sufficiency tribalism, in favor of systemic service based dependencies instead
money solves the issue of the coincidence of wants since everyone wants money, unless you're a pirate who has no use for money when forcibly taking things is easier, and you don't mind living on the literal edge of being betrayed or found and killed
******IMPORTANT NOTE******
money cannot printed, that's why gold and silver are money
currency is printed, and inflates

Gold is likely being liquidated to cover margin calls etc as dollar strengthens and yields rise/interest rates increase. Its just the most liquid asset. During war times gold rises so theoretically once the liquidations cover costs you’ll probably see it skyrocket. A falling knife has no handle mind you.
>>

Gold, once valued at approximately $40 trillion in market capitalization, has now plummeted to $27 trillion—a loss of nearly $11 trillion in just a few short weeks.

In comparison, Bitcoin's market cap hovers around $1.3 trillion. This means that the value lost by gold equates to approximately 8 times the entire Bitcoin market capitalization being erased in such a short timeframe.

Gold is now even more volatile than Bitcoin, making one question its worth and stability. It's no wonder the Jews were so eager to peddle it to unsuspecting investors—they knew it was a bubble and wanted the average Joe to purchase their shares at inflated prices.

All metals are valuable and useful in some capacity or another, which is why I am bullish on mining. The markets are crashing atm but that is what it is. Just panic and sentiment. Fuel costs remaining elevated for an extended period of time could certainly kill some smaller companies though.
I can see a lot of these companies cutting hours or outright pausing production if fuel costs outstrip profits for longer than a few weeks. Which is ironically bullish for metals. And if a bunch of ships get sunk, and a bunch of bullets get fired.. also bullish for mining. In fact the only thing that isn't bullish for mining is the continuation of Lazy Girl Job HR Gig Six Figure Green Energy Spreadsheet economy.

Gold has an inverse relationship with inflation. Oil is expected to juice inflation so gold goes down. Also mid east countries may need to sell gold to make up for budget defecit because they can't sell oil.

>why would gold crush i don't get it
Gold gets liquidated when a lot of big holders need cash.
The question is, what do they need the cash for?
Banking problems?
Oil/energy?
Maybe insiders are buying up certain stocks in advance of a major war?
Look at the market and see what sectors are rising in price.

Probably a lot of people with margin calls or other very urgent liquidity needs.
If you need cash now you sell anything and everything, especially something as liquid as gold.
Once the panic subsides and the sellers ran out, gold will again be bought.
Until then it's crashing.
