How did China know to overbuild solar panels and wind turbines for the past 2-3 years to decouple from oil in anticipation of USA's attack on Iran?
>>
>>531420115
Because fat 400 pound mutts driving 8000 pound trucks was NEVER the future. That's one thing these new technocrats are doing right is accelerating the development of nuclear energy and moving to things like solar.
>>

They are not led by niggers and women. Xi might be doing nothing internationally, but that's only because he prefers focusing his efforts inside his country.

Because it's an obvious strategic weakness of China. They're incredibly dependent on importing fuel (including coal), but they probably weren't thinking of Iran specifically.
>>
>>531420396
I live in a working class area where most people can get some utility out of trucks. If you drive up to the city you'll notice $80k+ pickup trucks driving around with the cleanest beds imaginable. These trucks are sitting around on the dealer lot for YEARS because nobody is buying them. Trucks are complete cancer and most Americans do not need one.

Because in China the ruling class also rules the billionaires, so they actually have the ability to put smart people in positions of power and have them make smart decisions that benefit the whole nation.

In the west the billionaires are the ruling class, the overwhelming majority of whom were born into their wealth and there is no mechanism in place to weed out the idiots, so we have a bunch of self interested midwits making extremely stupid decisions based solely on whether or not they'll personally benefit from it because western oligarchs genuinely think they'll be protected from any consequences to their actions.

It isn't just oil. US has been economically isolating China for decades and China made it a priority to focus on supply chain security. They did this specifically so they'd be independent and foreign countries can't manipulate them economically.

Look up 'Made in China 2025' and their more recent 5 year plans.

Basically China didn't do it over the Middle East. They did it specifically to stop the US isolating them and stunting their growth.
>>
>>531420115
>muhh cars
Oil is not used only to run cars, it goes from fertilizers to plastics, commercial vessels and planes need oil too, modern copper extraction relies heavily on petroleum-based organic solvents to separate copper from ore too ....

people that talk about trucks and oil thinking passenger vehicles are worth noting are brainrotten by politics. passenger vehicles are all comparable. as far as economic footprint goes talking about nations and energy the difference between a passenger car and a truck is chickenshit.

the consumption and upkeep of transportation (tractor trailers) and fleet vehicles (construction, government services, public service, military, etc) is what's relevant. the nation runs on diesel because its the best and most reliable thing there is. nuclear and solar panels isn't going to change that. neither is buying a prius.

Good thing the oil companies and their parent corporations aren't the ones that own all the mines needed to make solar panel and as a result are the manufacturers and hold many of the patents in the solar sector.

There is a better way to use sunlight to produce electricity. Use mirrors to concentrate all the sunlight in an area to a single point, the heat is then used to boil water

>>
>>531422175
Not at all, if they did, the sun wouldn't even have to be out to start making electricity with photovoltaics while your solution doesn't work at all with moon light.
>>
>>531421626
They aren't. If they had a monopoly horizontally or vertically on solar's supply chain they wouldn't be lobbying against solar in the first place.

They could have ushered the energy revolution themselves and made a killing.
>>
>>531421051
If we weren't cucks and did eugenics everyone would be smart enough to handle having a nuclear battery in their car that lasted for decades.
>>
>>531422305
>while your solution doesn't work at all with moon light.
It doesn't work with low amounts of light as the water needs to be able to reach a certain temperature. It is also not as practical as some simple solar panel. But it is much simpler to make. You could use it to power a factory right in the beginning of industrial revolution. I dare you to make your own solar panels.
>>
>>531422728
No, its because China doesn't care about the patents and has their own mines, so the control they have over the solar industry only really works in the western world where their intellectual property is accepted.
>>
>>531420115
Having a bunch of solar doesn't change the fact that the sun isn't shining all day or even in all places. Battery tech still sucks. Just build nuclear you fucks.
>>

Chinks correctly base their analysis on the supposition that jews rule America.
>>
>>531420115
Solar energy is crap,
wind energy is useful, but solar as the tech stands is not there.
>>
>>531420115
China is still reliant on coal and solar still barely provides any of China's power.
>>
>>531422833
Before the industrial revolution and the machinery to automatically track the sun and move the lenses accordingly, you would use it to accidentally set your factory on fire.

I don’t think it’s that hard to predict that Globalism is incredibly fragile and that the USA is unreliable as a partner, allied or not.

It’s less efficient but it makes sense to pursue a policy of limited autarky and domestic stability of basic resources like food and energy.
>>
>>531423064
It is possible to make a mechanical contraption to control all the mirrors at once, you could just assign 1 worker to change it a little from time to time.
>>
>>531422878
Patents don't mean shit. China is an ocean away and has no real bearing on the viability of solar in the US. There only needs to be a concerted will.

Ask Rockefeller or Carnegie about patents for oil and coal back during the gilded age. Think they gave a fuck? The british capital that backed them just bought out, coerced, blackmailed, or murdered everyone in their way.
>>
>>531422903
>Battery tech still sucks
They have the world's biggest dam. They can pump as much water as they want at a higher elevation using the excess energy.
>>
>>531423187
You need individual control and very accurate precision based not on where and how intense you think the sun will be somewhere, but where it actually is and how intense it actually is.
>>
>>531420459
they were thinking of the gulf region in general. that's why they use russian helium for their semiconductor manufacturing instead of qatari (the only other big supplier), russian fertilizer, russian aluminum, and so on. taiwan for example depends on the gulf states to get the helium they use to make chips, and helium can't really be stockpiled because it diffuses through metal, so they are going to run off by mid april
>>
>>531423283
>Patents don't mean shit.
It means they can't actually control the market.
>China is an ocean away and has no real bearing on the viability of solar in the US.
Except that they can make solar panels cheaper and corner the australian, asian, african, and european markets to effectively cut out the US and make it less capable of producing them at scale.

Christian zionism has a deadline of Christ returning being witnessed by the same generation that witnessed the creation of Israel.
Iran know about the plan as they fund proxies to stop them, they plan a war with the west for 40 years.
Iran is friends with China and gave them the heads up.

>It means they can't actually control the market.
Disregard China's patents or use lawfare to sidestep them. This is seriously a non-issue if you know anything about the history of industry in the US.
>Except that they can make solar panels cheaper and corner the australian, asian, african, and european markets to effectively cut out the US and make it less capable of producing them at scale.
Why would the US need to care about markets or monopolies outside of the US? Just make them for the US first, then enter the Canadian and Mexican markets. US still had (probably not anymore) better branding than China did back when this was all still relevant. People would still have preferred to buy US goods rather than China goods before there were overtures to invade Canada. Keep in mind it is only recently that Canadians were allowed to buy Chinese cars (hasn't even come into effect yet). All those problems you're bringing up aren't real problems.

They certainly didn't get rich selling to China or Australia ffs

China just does everything because why not?
Coal oil gas nuclear wind solar hydro

They got rich selling to anyone who would buy including retarded leafs and thirdies, not by restricting their market to one country.
>>
>>531420115
It's quite easy to see which countries are the winners. Look at their energy mix.. who has most nuclear + renewables = winners. Who has biggest chunk of fossiles = losers.
>>
>>531426053
No. Canada and thirdies aren't rich. If not by capita then not by volume.
Microsoft and Apple had ALWAYS earned the bulk of their money from:
1) Defense contracts
2) Enterprise (predominantly US)
>>
The Chinese Communist system allows them to say "I want [large amount] of [important product] to be produced by [date]" and the entire force of population and economy will be immediately thrown towards making it happen. Only external factors will stand in their way.

Meanwhile America can't build solar farms without people at the national level whining about how it's for fags or doesn't work or we should do nuclear instead. And at the local level its NIMBYs whining about "muh farming community" or "muh endangered turtle population"
>>
>>531420115
Your fault for believing the oil kikes. Climate change is not just a doomsday prediction, it's a great excuse to push your nation into lessening dependency on oil exporters.

When you dont have politicians who are being constantly bribed and lobbied by the oil industry you can actually make smart decisions about the future.

Pro tip: oil companies have known since the 70s that oil was finite and causing climate change but hid the research from the public to maximize how much oil they could sell in the mean time.
