The last oil crisis Canada was just barely an oil exporter (after decades of investment, everyone west of the Ottawa River was legally obligated to buy Canadian to subsidize the industry in Alberta/Sask). This time around it's a wash for energy.What nobody seems to have her realize though is that the US is wholly dependant on Canada for fertilizer (mined). Alternative global support (almost all produced from ng) is cut off and basically impossible to buy now, and planting season is approaching. If Canada had any balls it's put a surcharge on the fertilizer sent to the US that balances our the tariffs or offers free trade for free trade. Trump wouldnt pull any punches show any mercy why should Candsa when Trump from his own stupidity has put the US near to famin if Canada wishes.
