Would the West simply close down their borders, deport migrants and minorities? Is there a better alternative that would serve all sides?Many third world countries still rely on immigration, even as part of their GDP. Losing access to the West would be a heavy blow. Also how would the West make up for the loss of manpower and cheap labor from the third world? AI and automation aren't ready to replace humans in crucial tasks. Machinery still need humans for maintenance and operation.The West will become isolated and weakened, like it or not immigration served them and kept the host countries running otherwise they wouldn't accept migrants in the first place if there was no need.
