Audi 4.2 V8. Had a 2007 S4. Chain guides went out at 90k. Chains are on the back of the motor so you have to pull it to replace the chains and guides. Pile of trash.

You don't need to make reliable cars.
Everything that isn't a Honda or Toyota is just warning to people on what not to buy.
>>
>>532196600
This anon is correct. German cars are over-engineered.
Besides chain problems, Audi had their own fluids, also their own oil . You couldn't just fill it with random OEM oil, the panel check engine light would start flushing. It would take only Audi approved specific type of oil .

German cars are so cool but they are such a fucking pain in the ass to have fixed.

You can't. They sell them only as assemblies to be replaced in full.

Germany has one of the oldest car fleets in western countries. The old(er) German cars up until around 2010 are good, extreme planned obsolescence started around 2010.
Since then it's extreme and most anons complaining about shit cars are having cars from that period on because they all prefer newer cars.

My woman's X3 had a bunch of electrical leaks, common to BMW.
In winter she'd get out on Monday to go to work, and cars battery is dead. Or she'd be at work and her car randomly is dead and needs a jump start.

We traded it for a Toyota Rav4, upgraded model.
After I added minor stuff to Rav4 , such as better speakers, mirror , quieter tires etc.
This RAV4 was much better than X3.
It would start anywhere in any weather, guaranteed.

Let me explain why
It's related to inflation.
A Mark7 in 2018 at release cost around 25k$. Gold back then was 1200$. In Gold the cost was 20 ounces
Nowadays a Mark8 is 30k$, whereas Gold is around 5000$, which means you pay 6 ounces.
As we all learned in the SETF threads Gold is the baseline of prices, which means cars nowadays are cheap af which shows in the quality

Maybe, but even then - companies absolutely love lobbying for illegal invaders, blowing up functional power plants, more and more bureaucratic regulations, higher taxes on the population (but not them) and so on. The unions are also spending half their time on lobbying for illegals nowadays.
That is still a consequence of how they run their businesses.
If they told the libshit politicians to go and fuck themselves, none of this would have happened. Politicians hold no real power, they are a parasitic class. If those who actually produce wealth had withdrawn their support, it would have ended the parties easily.
But the companies were in on it because it allowed them to dictate part of the new laws and shape them in their favor (but against the population).

Shitskin poors are a valid excuse for governments to print money. It is one of the only ways to """""grow"""" GDP in a country like Germany these days. Even if they dont work their subhuman existence as toddlers for the state creates GDP.
Its so kiked its insane.
Btw, native Germans cant get this because that would be inflationary. Just look at how much the German state spends a year to provide housing to all the ukies, mudshits and niggers who arrived in the last 2 decades alone. And it never gets brought up, even by the jewish-ziggers AfD.
>>
>>532198800
Because of this fact the cars get engineered to last for the leasing and warranty periods of around three years, after which they start falling apart. Germans and Europoors have no moneys to buy new cars so new cars are being sold as company leasing cars.

Now they are sitting on a stockpile of shit no one wants and a product for which they can't even procure any resources until they bend the knee to China.
It is seriously fucking them over because at least this one single time, they pushed the envelope too far and tried to rob people with a scam people will simply answer with "no".
I feel a bit sorry for all the smaller suppliers who were just providing parts to the big manufacturers, but the big ones definitely deserve everything that's coming for them.

I think it's more of a case of normalfags not even being able to fall for it this time, kek.
The majority of them cannot afford one, the prices are too high.
The majority are rentoids who cannot simply plug it in at night to ensure it's ready in the morning when they need to go to work.
They cannot really rely on public infrastructure to charge it (and just get up earlier to eat the time hit) because it is/was too sparse.
It's a product that provides no real benefits over their current car while coming with a lot of disadvantages.

They would have absolutely fallen for it otherwise, but in this case it was not even possible. As if you tried to sell gloves to someone who has no hands.

Good quality these days means nothing should break until after a specified time, then everything should break down or stop working at the same time. This is what every brand is going for these days, with varying success, but it is not the way older cars used to be made.

America took over german car industry in the 1990s and introced american management and american value engineering. Quality quickly went to shit. In Sweden, SAAB was destroyed by GM, and Volvo by Ford, and the wreck of Volvo was sold to China.

at least it's a fucking chain. also that has nothing to do with accessibility and ease of disassembly which is where the Germans fuck up. I think they like turning bolts so much, it doesn't bother them to take things apart and put them back together. Everyone praises jap cars, but they work until they don't. They get by on quality of parts, but if one thing breaks, they don't account for that in design. my Honda still has a valve adjustment procedure that most people don't know exists when reading online. Older American cars just assume everything is out of spec and close enough. New stuff is a mix of global, cheap design.

Its the vaxx. Its happening in Sweden too. A friend complained a lot about bad drivers and I asked him if it always was like this and he said it began in the last years. I then told him that I have read the very same reported by foreign motorists.

Germany lost the war based on their automotive failures. It’s that simple. They were stuck with horses and the tanks were out of gas, while Americans drove over their dead bodies and even the dumbest jarhead could fix the trucks.

All of their engineers they had left went into automotive and they still can’t design anything that can touch the LS motor. Try and get really antisemitic and throw a carb on that monstrosity, you can’t.

>they still can’t design anything that can touch the LS motor
They've designed multiple engines that shit all over the LS on a spreadsheet. In the real world they're overly complicated.
A base LS is something like 270hp from 5.7L, they're pretty unremarkable, but they're so bulletproof you can crank that number up a long way before you start bending the pushrods.
A 4.2 Audi V8 is 340hp standard but if you do much more than put an intake on it you'll be launching valves into low earth orbit.

That’s because I was referring to the 2000’s truck motors that everyone swaps in for low end torque and towing. GM just got real German on everyone with the zr1x and beat the Porsche on their own track at their own game, and spanked the demon 170 on the straights too. 1250hp with a warranty and a mid 8’s 1/4 mile is nuts.
