Despite the police investigation, he was allowed to continue working in the home care service.- Since we do not know more about the investigation, we cannot suspend him for more than a month, says the unit manager.22-year-old Abdulrahman Al Khleef Almasalmeh came to Sweden from Syria during the asylum chaos of 2015, writes Samnytt.He is now facing charges of having subjected a large number of elderly Swedes to serious abuse.Almasalmeh has previously been convicted, among other things, of having, together with other Arabs, humiliated, threatened with a gun, and brutally assaulted Swedish Epa youth in Värmland.Despite that, he got a job at the home services in Örebro – which allowed him to continue even after the current police investigation began.According to the prosecutor, there are 13 plaintiffs – after two of the victims died during the investigation. The oldest of them is 99 years old.Material secured by the police shows how the 22-year-old repeatedly filmed situations where elderly Swedes were subjected to degrading treatment. In one case, he targeted a woman in her 90s.“You look like a monkey!” he says in Arabic.

[pats the older man] Are you here?In another case, an elderly man is showered with ice-cold water after being told he is a "son of a whore."– I swear by Allah that I will let you freeze!, Almasalmeh is heard saying to the old man.Allahu akbar tortureIn another video, the suspect makes a hand movement in front of an elderly man that, according to the preliminary investigation, "resembles the movement of pulling a trigger on a weapon."– [The Swedish man's name], goodbye, he says immediately afterwards.A clip shows an elderly man sitting in the kitchen with headphones on. Abdulrahman Al Khleef Almasalmeh uses a microphone connected to the headphones.– Allahu akbar! he shouts over and over into the microphone, and the sound goes straight into the older man's ears.The phrase "Allahu akbar" also appears in other films in similar situations.Allowed to returnDespite the suspicions having been known for a period, the 22-year-old was allowed to return to work on January 2nd of this year after a short suspension, according to Samnytt.– Since we do not know more about the investigation, we cannot suspend him for more than a month, the responsible unit manager at Örebro Municipality stated in questioning.Abdulrahman Al Khleef Almasalmeh continued to work until he was finally arrested in January and later remanded in custody.The accused denies the crime.
